Now we get to see #10 run with old tires as well. We'll see if Taylor manages better.

Pfaff update
Up to 5th in GT, 3rd in pro. Lap time a little slower than those around him. Corvette still go the pace over the others, but Jordan Taylor now in the car. |

I guess nobody told Castroneves that the #60 doesn't have as much grip on restarts as it did at Daytona.

BMW's turnaround from Daytona is pretty impressive, it has to be said.

And Pfaff now have Vanthoor in the car. The only running he's had in that Porsche was in warm-up this morning! Had been focussing excusively on WEC until today.

I remember there were quite a few drivers like that last year. In Toyota for instance, but I didn’t get to catch up on that kind of thing this year. (Away with work rather than away at Sebring!) Edit. Just checked his first few lap times. He knocked about half a second off for the first five laps. Some of that is normal after a restart, but he quickly got up to speed. Now he’s plateaued and it’s dependent on traffic. A free lap and it looks like he’ll drop into the 2:02s. |

Also, their reliability seems a lot better so far. And maybe there were BoP changes - I can't remember the exact details on that and to be honest I can't be bothered to check Strategy too! Their tyres haven't been falling away like the others. If they were in WEC with longer green running it would probably be a different story however. |

Anyone at the head of a business/organisation or near the top is essentially a politician. What they say to the general public is utterly worthless.

So, how many sets of tires do they have? Is it 11? Clearly good to double stint early.
Spin for #20. Off the track. Back on. |

Ricky Taylor is a lot slower than Dixon, but he keeps it together and hold up a hold gaggle of cars. Maybe the problem for the Whelen car was they needed a Taylor behind the wheel.

Looks like the European cars stand no chance and the best they can hope for is 3rd if one/two of the Acuras or Cadillacs stumble(s).

Jarno Trulli would be proud of Ricky right now.

There's an absolute minefield of debris on the backstretch, Tandy picks up a puncture from it, no caution.
Small candy wrapper on track, red flag. |

Noooo. Carbon fibre everywhere. Punctures or yellows. A Ferrari hit a big piece and spread it everywhere.
And Tandy in with a puncture. |
