does anybody know if a 1/18 model of the 512 ferrari [1970-71] as seen in the old le mans [steve mcqueen] movie, exist and where i could find one. i know that they don't fall into the 'winners ' catagory, but they weren't a bad looking car and i was hoping to find one to park beside my porsche 917.

Not yet, it's one of the major cars that many are waiting for.

oooh... so it's claiming October delivery. Wonder what the likelihood of it being seen before Christmas? I might add it to my Christmas list! Thanks for the link.

tis okay, I'll wait for it to come onto eBay - usually some good deals to be had on there compared to places like Trax.

Just thought I'd put a photo up... moved the models to a new cabinet and now have plenty of space for new models. Ooops.

Nice, still not sure whether I should get the Norev 905's or wait for the Spark's as space is limited.

Hello everybody, my first visit. Been a spectator for a while and decided I'd take the plunge and get on board. As my name suggests, I'm an old porsche fan, and as such, I am interested to know if any body out there could advise me on the quality/comparison of the universal hobbies 917 [1971 winner] against the autoart 917. i have seen the autoart gulf 917 and it looks excellant.

Welcome!
I haven't personally seen the Autoart 917 but I can say that they are generally in a different league to the Universal Hobbies cars. If you can afford it, I'd definately go for the Autoart version. Having said that, the UH is definately not a bad car! |

Are there any 962 short tails around in 1:18? Like Joest cars, 88 Dijon winner? Or any Daytona winners? 89 Miller High Life livery?

Have just ordered the 1978 winner by Norev from eBay. There is one other model available if anyone is looking themselves:

Okay, trying hard to catch up with all the developments since I have been away from the UK. I think this is an accurate summary but let us know if there's anything I have missed!
I have yet to see the much vaunted 1973 winner so I have left it in the 'upcoming' table. Whilst looking for it I discovered that there is supposedly a 1:18 of the 1972 and 1974 winners in the pipeline... (there is already a 1:24 scale version of the 1972 car if you can't wait) 1:18 Scale Le Mans winners - current:
1:18 Scale Le Mans winners - other versions available:
1:18 Scale Le Mans winners - coming soon:

Well it looks like the 1955 winner is finally being released - I for one won't be paying 500 bucks for it though!

That's because it's 1:12 scale.
