So when Ferrari should have pitted for the slicks they kept the wets on. Toyota pit for slicks.....

It's turning out to be an exciting end. Wouldn't count out either of the Porsches, the Ferraris, #7 Toyota or even #20 BMW.

Brendon Hartley seems to be struggling a bit this weekend.

Crazy race in the last hour Caddy and BMW find massive pace, Porsche seem faster, the actual quickest cars in the race both make odd decision!!

Then, seeing them slide off the turns into the gravel, a bit of unease for the Toyotas creeps in.

Those wets on #51 must be looking pretty sketchy now, judging by everyone else's when they stop.

Campbell losing 3rd position. I thought he had enough buffer to warm up his tyres and stay ahead.

Campbell back ahead so nope, that didn't work.
Estre made a mistake so all the hard work to close the gap is gone. |

#6 has five seconds time added on for overtaking under yellow.
Edit - Drive-through for #46. No fairy tale finish for Rossi fans today. |

Doesn't change much, #5 is too far behind.

#7 are close on energy. Stint started 5:00'05". Longest stints so far were 1:2'54", but that was wet and had some slow running. Second longest was 59'50", but that had the yellows early on. Next longest 51'45". #8 has done a 53'28". It will be close. One extra lap could be a pain. #6 Porsche stopped 2 laps after #7, #5 was 5 laps later. Ferrari having a battle |

Estre still in full attack mode, if not for that mistake he'd be right behind #7 now.
Anyway, it's just a visual observation but I think Ferrari, Porsche and Toyota were quite equal on pace on fresh tyres but Toyota and especially Ferrari had better management. Obviously the rain made that difference irrelevant. |

Was De Vries getting ready to get back in #7... ?
If Estre gets past quickly enough, the #6 could win even with its penalty. |

Nick getting ready to get back in? That would be bizarre! Odd thing to do even if you need a stop as it will be just a quick splash. Kidology.

Kobayashi told to push. It's #7 vs #6 for the win, Estre is only catching by tenths per lap now.
