Yes.
But AUTOSPORT say that this engine is not a scale-down version of VRH35(C-car engine). Nissan have the policy of racing by using the vehicle based on the production car. Therefore, there might have been a problem in the expression of "pure racing engine" not related with the production car. Indeed, Kunihiko Kakimoto(NISMO) said that this engine is not pure racing engine. However, it should be substantially called a new racing engine. |

AUTOSPORT(print ed) says that this car is not a Daishin/KRH car.
However, it is uncertain whether this car is a new car or a used car. |

Denso's livery is back on Team Sard(#39). Thunder Asia(#365) didn't appear because of incompleteness of procedure. There is a rumor that JLOC changed the tire supplier from Hankook into Yokohama. |

Perfect day for Yokohama tires.
GT500(#24) and GT300(#7) double win with no tire changes! HSV doesn't have a straight speed. It is necessary to improve aerodynamic. Wow, that was some hit into the tire bundles there on the first corner. Great to see the RX7 take out GT300 too.

Thanks! |

Because that would be too wonderful (albeit expensive ;-). I would love to see a GT500-styled Zonda, Maserati, Koenigsegg, Superporsche, Lamborgini, Aston One-77 etc. battle for the GT1 classes of the world...
Too much to dream... pit |

Great racing, mega cars (the graphic design of the liveries is unreal) and decent factory support. SuperGT's getting quite an underground following and with the virtues of the Internet could be bigger than the GT1 category in the forth coming years! |

This is an answer why the prototype car race is not needed in Japan.

hmm.. i suspect that some teams are threatened by #365 thunderasia's participation. putting up roadblocks to prevent them from collecting points in the overall championship.. i mean, look at their racecar, it seriously has an edge to really win.. and they did take part last year in sepang, malaysia.. i guess, after that debut, it isnt too surprising.. afterall, they are the first foreign team in history to participate in an all-japanese competition..

I just want to say that this is a series that has piqued my interest ever since I saw the HSV released, and this thread - and Japanese Samurai in particular - has helped following the series much easier.
Many thanks! EDIT: Where are the ThunderAsia team from? Last edited by Ultimo; 24 Mar 2010 at 05:17. |
