Bob Riebe User has been fined for unsportsmanlike behaviour!
Prototype cars now look like the builders read this thread and tried hard to be the winner for the ugliest.

There's a series in Argentina that has cars that look like American Modifieds, just as if someone had described how they looked to the person building it without showing any pictures.

American Modified:

I'd love to show you the Argentinian monstrosity, I just don't know the name of the series.

Edit:// FOUND EM. Apparently called "TC Zonal" cars.

This TC Zonal are categories of very very low budget with cars armed in very small garages. The term Zonal comes from the word Zona that refers to a municipality o City determined, so that the category runs its entire calendar on 1 or 2 tracks nearby as much, in some cases with earth circuits.

The Super TC 2000 is the only category with official teams of the brands.

Surprised nobody has posted the Abruzzi yet. The definition of grotesque, especially after the awesome LMP1 and Esperante GT2.

Nah it's not too bad compared to some of those Argentinian monstrosities. Every time someone quotes that post I look away from the screen hoping they'll go away lol

I never said they were prototypes, just that y'all have the ugliest racecars in the world, and most of them look like they've been cobbled together from spare parts in a shed.

It is based on an Argentine car called Berganin, totally modified.
The nickname of the car was "La Garrafa" (gas bottle) because the sponsor was Agip and the driver was Andrea Viannini.

As far as those DP's, they're not what I would call well put together, in terms of safety or performance. But were debating opinions which is pointless. I like the Touring cars in Argentina.

These cars are part of a golden era of Argentine motorsport of the late 60's and early 70's, that were raced in the TC and in the Sport Prototipo Argentino.
The regulations were always very free the first years demanded the use of the front windshield of the road car from which they derived, some years later demanded a minimum height then appeared the egg shape of the roof of some cars and finally nothing and also arrived the spyders.
Some of the cars were Pronello-Ford, Berta LR, Torino Liebre MK I,MK II,MK III, Gentile-Chevrolet, Baufer-Chevrolet, Numa-Tornado, Chelco-Chevrolet etc.
