Honestly? I'd give it more than even odds, maybe 60% chance that 3rd overall will be a LMP2 car. I can't see more than one Porsche and one Toyota going to the end without issues, and the CLM hasn't got a hope in hell of surviving without extended garage time (now watch me eat my words in June when they stand on the podium ). So that would leave the LMP2 winner by default as the next car in line.

ARC Bratislava will be running a Ligier not an Oreca.

Pardon my ignorance , but, is there an official entry list posted somewhere? I can't find it at the Le Mans site.
Thanks. |

Look what I found!
http://www.aysedasi.co.uk/2017/2017entry.htm It's pretty up to date as well (last updated yesterday) http://www.motorsport.com/lemans/new...y-list-870556/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_24_Hours_of_Le_Mans http://www.lemans-history.com/equipa...nto=C&ano=2017 Last edited by gert; 8 Feb 2017 at 20:34. |

For the full entry list so far the Wikipedia one is in decent shape: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_24_Hours_of_Le_Mans
I think they've jumped the gun on a couple of the lower ELMS lineups potentially but it's mostly correct. |

Every driver does have a reference, so has been reported somewhere.
That won't necessarily stop the odd change of course! |

Graff and Villorba Corse references make no mention of Le Mans. They could be correct but I don't class them as confirmation - just assumption - beyond the named drivers on the entry.

Simon Trummer moving to LMP2 with Manor in the WEC. Not confirmed which car he'll be in - http://www.motorsport.com/wec/news/t...kolles-872388/
Much better to have him in P2 and we can see how good he really is. Impossible to tell anything while driving that ByKolles. |

"The new cars have put stress into the marketplace financially, that’s for sure. I think there’s a lot of stress related to uncertainty. I was talking to an LMP2 team owner just last week, and he told me that the problem is that everyone has bought cars they can’t afford. And he doesn’t know how everyone will pay for them." |

I was thinking the same thing. And with only 2 cars on the reserve list we could see less than 60 starters.
Or will we see some unexpected driver line ups? Drivers with a budget could be in an even stronger position than usual. Last edited by Mike E; 11 Feb 2017 at 13:57. |

The GT categories needs also to be modified urgently to include other cars.

AF Corse's full-season lineups finally settled- Alessandro Pier Guidi joins James Calado in #51, with Davide Rigon and Sam Bird in #71.
http://www.dailysportscar.com/2017/0...7-fia-wec.html With Bruni gone and Pier Guidi stepping up to full-season, looks like they may have to bring someone new in for the 3rd seat in #51 at Le Mans - maybe one of the drivers involved in that Vallelunga test a few weeks back? |

A handy summary from DSC of where things stand.
Those two reserves must stand a pretty good chance of getting into the race. http://www.dailysportscar.com/2017/0...-24-hours.html |
