Bernie is pouring cold water on the idea of an Austrian GP, He usually likes to talk up possible GP's to use as a bargaining tool Is he not welcome in Austria as well I thought he got on well with the powers that be in Red Bull?

Barcelona now doesn’t want to alternate with Valencia, instead wants to continue to host an F1 race every year.

Maybe I can tell you the possible reasons: Path to Independence has already started in Catalonia (region of Spain by now) and the Circuit of Catalunya plans to have its own GP when it becomes independent (at least it's what I want).

Taking into account a future with no Spanish trademark on, which place is going to held the Spanish GP? Motorland? Valencia Street Circuit? Navarra? or Jerez?

Play your bets gentlemen. It's going to be exciting, at least here in Spain

PS: There is the chance of losing the Spanish GP on the calendar...

Wonder what they all have in common other than what we might think the obvious?!

Looks like Turkey is not going to be the 20th GP in 2013 with Austria unlikely and a French GP not happening it looks like 19 GP's max for this year.

http://www.crash.net/f1/news/187193/...urkish_pm.html

Lets not forget Germany has a question mark over it, as a not deal has been agreed yet. If no German GP happens that leaves the calender very bare for July and August and Bernie will be down a lot of $$$$$$.

It also means there will only be 6 European GP's with 8 in Asia a big change from a few years ago.

Russia's GP is still at risk of Olympic body delaying that race a year, right?

Bernie doesn't know where the German GP will be. I wonder does that put it on the doubtful list or the probable list?

http://www.crash.net/f1/news/187272/...rand_prix.html

If a German GP does not take place what does it mean for F1?

If the German GP doesn't happen at Nurburgring it will happen at Hockenheim I'm sure.

Bernie quoted as saying that France and Portimao are interested in the 20th slot of the calendar. Would love to see F1 at Portimao!

Bernie Ecclesyone now says we could have a GP in Portugal this year at the Algarve circuit or that France is still possible for the vacant July slot. In Germany it is the Nurburgring still with a question mark attached. He said the teams are not keen on the extra race.

The Russian GP is scheduled for November 2014.

http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/2...an-grand-prix/

I cannot remember the last time a GP was held in temperatures below zero but it will give the teams some cold tyre headaches.

I wonder will Adrian Newey run the Red Bulls without radiators?

Also interesting that Bernie comments 20 is the maximum, which I guess is what everyone thought...

I think the four crtical races are Monaco, Silverstone, Monza and Spa for the championship to retain histroical links (My opinion)

I think we will see race 20 and probably Portugal over France as they have taken too long for my liking to get the French sorted...

That might give teams some more ballast to play with if they run a smaller cooling system for the race. Interesting. Also interesting: snow at a GP race. Hope Pirelli has good snow tires.

Nick Heidfeld tried out some for Bridgestone.

I could be wrong, but they seemed to be lacking in overall grip.

It appears there is no future for a GP at the Nurburgring as Bernie Ecclestone has pulled out of talks with the organisers.

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/105300

With a lot of politics involved in the financial situation at the Nurburgring I cannot see any politican with his or her brain engaged will not want to be seen giving Bernie any money with all the pending court cases against him especially in Germany.
I cannot imagine the Germany GP fans are too impressed with all this.

Argentina and Greece? I wouldn't have thought either country is in an economic position to hold a race let alone build a track.

Marcus666 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Whats wrong with Portimao???! They got a FIA type 1T and I believe Portugal is atleast in better financial state than Greece!

Or... ...why not the Dubai Motodrome GP circuit? It looks like it's atleast better than the Bahrain circuit.
