Thanks for the pictures gwyllion, car look beautiful in these colours, could it be that they want one car to have orange stripes and one car to have yellow stripes, the difference in colour is very big.

According to http://www.lemans.org/fr/courses/int...vora_3559.html the livery is british racing green with two orange stripes.

I have made up my mind. The stripes are definitely orange: http://pitlane-vision.com/images/sto...05.05/2/13.jpg

Somewhere in here there is room for a ridiculous semantic debate over whether all green British racing cars are British Racing Green!
Fact does indeed remain that darkish green racing cars, particularly British ones, tend to look good. This one looks pretty good, but IMO yellow stripes would be a huge improvement over that orangeish tone. |

I think David Brown's Astons were always in lighter kind of green metallic. Some even call that Aston Martin Green (same colour was used at Le Mans by the works team in 2005-2007).

Hello,
A Portuguese eurosport 2 commentator said the Lotus program's begins with the GT version (first the evora and then the Esprit) later this year will appear a LMP2 version and later (2013/14) a LMP1, is it true?? |

Don't ever remember hearing about an LMP1 but yeah I believe that was the plan. LMP2 set to hit the track at the end of this year but probably won't race.

The Lotus looks great but I am afraid it won't last for the race in Le mans, yesterday one had massive problems after only one hour and the other car had slow drivers to cope with!

The lastest interview with Gavan Kershaw only mentions LMP2: http://auto-racing.speedtv.com/artic...gavan-kershaw/
Their focus is on GTE and LMP2 is low on the priority list. I think that the LMP1 story is pure speculation. |

Story in Autosport today updates the situation of the LMP2 and states that its debut has been pushed back due to a change of engine.
Claudio Berro has said the original Toyota-based V6 has been changed in favour of a 5-litre V8 out of the new Lotus Esprit. The new engine will be ready next year so development will be stalled until then. Debut will be after next year's 24 hours. So I'd assume Silverstone 2012 is likely. Who makes the engine in the Esprit then? I'm wondering if this partly down to the Lola/Toyota exclusivity arrangement for next year? Or does that not extend to LMP2? |

According http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/motorsh...t_returns.html the engine of new Esprit will also be supplied by Toyota.
BTW when Lola announced the cost-capped LMP2 car, it listed the following engine options: Quote:

Might be closely related to the 5.0l V8 from the Lexus IS-F?

They turned down both the engines for the race which was a wise decision but I honest still thought they would both lunch themselves. Really pleased to see the #65 cross the line.
