what i dont get...is theyve premium modelled the skylines, mx5s, s2000 and the NSX...yet, while they insist on keeping every trim level ever built carried over from GT4 and GT5, they dont use the premium model for them even though they all look the same! >_<

Whilst I'm no racer, I do go to Silverstone rather a lot and having watched a couple of videos of onboard footage from the new GP layout, I must say that some of the lines that GT6 gives are very odd and seem to have a much earlier turn in point than one would expect?

I'm having a problem here.
Whenever I try to update GT6 to 1.03, it crashes. and not just the game, but the PS3. Any help, or should I just wait until later?

I've had a similar problem recently when exiting the iplayer on PS3 - the PS3 just farts and restarts (works ok again fine afterwards and I can re-start the iplayer no problem, it'll just bomb again on exit). Is your PS3 on the latest version of the OS? Maybe check that as a starting point?

I love GT, foibles and all, but PD really do make themselves an easy target

Just do what I do, wait a few months and then all the patches (other than the 40 quid giant one you juts bought) are done and the game should be OK!

If it's anything like the previous one it will be three years worth of updates. Polyphony did a very good job of adding regular content to GT5, all for free initially before some more substantial paid DLC (Spa, etc).

I did what chunder is suggesting - wait until it's out on platinum. Trouble is it then takes about 2 hours to download and install all the updates

I didn't pay to get Spa though - I got that for nothing at some point.

GT6 didn't load, so I tried to restart the game. This shut off the entire PS3 and almost corrupted it. This gives that round to FM5. Please don't rush games in future, PD

Surprising really

I would not have thought there was much rush for this title from Polyphony?

Other than the cChristmas rush, so if they have managed to botch a game that is not really a new release more of a sort of updated version of the previous game, that suggests bad things!

You realise this most likely has very little to do with Polyphony, and certainly nothing to do with it being a rushed product. All the GT games have been extremely polished on release, in comparison to a lot of other titles. Go and ask how Battlefield 4 players are getting on....

You must have been playing a different game to most fella

GT5 has horrendous bugs when first relelased, there were the night events where you literally coldnt see, that took months to patch, there were numerous controller issues for thousands, online was appalling.

Polished means it works effectively first time.

Only racing game I have recently bought thatw as lik that was WRC4 and the Dirt games I am afraid.

F12012 on the PC was horrifically bugged, so much so they just gave up patching and got on with 2013, hence their sales fell a bit as people didnt trust them
