I don’t really know what to think about this event tbh. The grid and entry is mega but I always feel like the event is a bit of a lottery with all the FCY/SC and the poor driving standards.

Yeah I can’t quite put my finger on it either, maybe the lack of slower traffic.

YouTube advertising is truly bizarre. The frequency of ads has increased crazily last hour, literally every 10 minutes this is a sodding live event for Gods sake
20 second advert, then 10 seconds later a 5 second one. Sorry I switch off I cant be arsed with having this rot thrown at me in such a ridiculous;ous way |

Attempto Audi went into the gravel, it was clear within 5 minutes, we have 25 minutes of SC for a wave by and then the #888 Mercedes ends up on its roof at Eau Rouge trying to catching up to the pack.... Im very close to being done until the morning.

The rain has finally arrived, its as heavy as predicted so the FCY/SC is out. How long will it last? Who knows, for sure the track conditions are not driveable at the moment so imo its the right call.
Does anyone know if Rossi in the #46 got any penalty for hitting the #51 of Rigon? Looked like a slam dunk. |

I tell you what the way Creventic does some races where they start on Saturday morning, Take an overnight break and race until Sunday evening looks very appealing these days. It seems that no racing organization is willing to race in the rain at night anymore.
Anyone recall the 24 hours of COTA Creventic race that ran a couple years in the late 2010s. Yeah do it like that SRO for the Spa 24H. |

Im with you on that one tbh, not so much because of the rain issue but mainly because the older i get the less likely i am to stay up through the night.

8 am to 10 pm Saturday. Park the cars in pit lane with overnight security so nothing gets touched during the certain overnight rain storm. Restart and run from 6 am to 4 pm Sunday

Big accident for Sturm in second. Straight off at Blanchimont, through the gravel, hits the tyres with enough force to roll over. He's out of the car thankfully.

I keep dipping in and out of the race and it seems to be an endless FCY/SC exercise. Is that just bad timing or has there been a lot of yellow?

There have been a lot of yellows, mostly justified, but the extended FCY/SC procedure only compounds the issue.

This race is just a yellow flag fest, OK there is reason for it, but as a spectacle it just loses me, Watson is also very dreary and needs to retire

We're very much in the "cautions breed cautions" phase of therace.
Which has lasted all race. |

That’s the 2nd time this race that Rossi takes out a Ferrari. I wonder how Italians feel about that, do they love Rossi or Ferrari more

Have to wonder whether WRT will try to build a third car around Rossi from next season and take him out of these prime entries. He's just not on the level required.

Rossi has improved and he'll get better (this isn't Vadim Kogay we're talking about), but it's clear that he won't be a platinum-level driver in pace or consistency. Edit - #51 blocked in pit lane by #19! Lamborghini costing Ferrari the race... |

That's not the first time #19 had stopped in the pit lane, surprised it was allowed to continue.
I can't imagine any of the higher-ups at Lamborghini (or Aston Martin, or BMW) are too displeased though. Advantage #7 over #998 at the moment. Edit - #7 pits for fuel and tyres. |

You almost need to question the Grasser team as that car had already done that, I would think it is a pit limiter issue that is just stopping the car.
As for 51 staggeringly unlucky, but for me the way Ferrari acted at Spa WEC they deserve some bad luck, he has driven the last few laps mighty, and Pittard deserves the penalty he drives like a maniac at times and about time he was done for something. |

It's hard to see from the trackside camera, but Pittard was nowhere near the apex when Pier Guidi was trying to get past. It was forceful from #51, but penalising #34 was the correct call.

Delighted for the #007 crew, the team made has had a challenging year with the new car but they were able to win the biggest race of the year.

Congratulations to the #7. Luck is a cruel mistress for AF Corse #51, but that does not take away from Comtoyou's superb race with a car they have openly struggled with.
For all the talk of BMW domination, only #32 WRT makes the podium (at least Dries finished a 24-hour race this year!) |
