OK, and now help me to win that contest. Where Tomas Enge and Jarek Janis are going to race (main season program) ? I'm leaning toward TE doing Grand-AM for SAMAX. Do you think Scuderia Ecosse is realistic for Janis ?

Before someone mentioned a V12 Lola, I would have assumed it was an Asian manufactuer. Last edited by JAG; 9 Jan 2008 at 00:17. |

I was told that there was 100% an asian manufacturer coming to LMP1 this year - the person who told me that is super reliable (and was running a car at Le Mans) but I kind of expected to know about it by now. So maybe it died. But then some interesting people turned up somewhere I was recently.

I'm thinking either TATA, shanghai automotive, nanjing, SSang-yong or Hyundai......hmmmm.....I have my money on either TATA or Hyundai.......both are humungous companies and the cost of a full LMP1 project would be peanuts to them, but would offer a big reward in marketing exposure, brand awareness and improving their image.

And if TATA are soon to acquire Jaguar (and Land Rover) that might be worthy name to stick on the nose...

If I was to speculate wildy I would say there appears to be a link between Lola, MG, RML and MG's new Chinese (Asian) owners and this could all add up to an announcement of an Asian manufacturer, a well known team owner and a new lola LMP1

BOOM, right all along! (on DSC)
Charouz to run a Lola B08/60-Aston Martin with Enge, Charouz, and Mucke. DBR9 GT1 V12 engine, Lola chassis constructed with help from Aston Martin Racing, and full support of AMR. Full LMS season & Le Mans. |

That's fabulous news! I don't think they'll be anywhere near the diesels, but it's a start, and it's more manufacturer names and support in LMP1.

Now this makes me wonder if Prodrive will still run a GT1 team just at Le Mans or what?
