Any news on a stream for the race?

Yes, there will be an official stream on the race website (http://www.24h-rennen.de) in two quality options, the stream will start saturday before the race.

Don't expect the stream to be TV-like all through the race though, it will most probably just show one static camera as long as the TV is off air (DSF airs 9 hours of the race live).

They really should be showing onboard from the leading cars instead of the useless static pitstraight camera. I would love to see onboard from the Manthey Porsche all through the night.

I see the car is driven by some people from Cologne. Has it links with Ford Europe (based in Cologne)? Anyone more info about the car (like bhp)?

A shame the BMW factory drivers are not in the Alpina GT3

Alpina has some neat drivers though, including Franz Engster, Rall Schall and Johannes Stuck.

The BMW drivers are all busy driving the M3 GT4 and the Schubert Z4M Coupe.

Which would need a helicopter, which would be much too expensive just for the stream.

The rain had stopped for a short while, enough for the #2 Manthey Porsche to set the fastest time.

Since it has picked up again and the track is soaking wet, don't expect the times to get any quicker this evening.

I just saw the qualifying from the Ring on TV.
During the commercial brake there was a spot from audi. And it seems that there's a live streaming on their homepage which starts at saturday.

That live stream would be the only positive thing about Audis appearance really... the TV broadcasts are dreadful..it's all Audi-talk....a real shame.

That BMW is entered by Schimer Motorsport, a BMW M3 E92. The results of this session are pretty random due to the rain, the cars in the top ten were lucky to post a good lap in the few minutes when it was drying up.

Tomorrow's session will decide who gets the pole, no rain is forecasted and the times should be much quicker.

I can`t find a time of the # 66 ( team schrick - Aston Martin ) in the timetable.
Does anybody know what happend to the car ?
Did the team show up or not ?
And if so are there any news available ?

I think they´ll only do the race because of budget limitations.

Second qualifying is on at the moment, it's dry as forecasted.

And the quickest so far is...no Audi, no Porsche but Dirk Adorf in the Raeder Motorsport Ford GT - 8:36!
