Erebus has form with what is going on now - they did the same to Peter Haackett all those years ago
Ryan Maddison was a dud and Barry Ryan isn't much better |

Don't really know why Supercars felt that it needed to pump out a release that said not much at all other than hinting at mental health issues. Would have been better I think to say nothing at all and leave it to the team to sort out with its driver, or better yet, get involved with the team and driver in a mediator / leadership role and only then, maybe issue a release saying that Supercars is working with the team and driver to assist in resolution and no further comment would come until that happened. Clearly, given the exodus of sponsors, something catastrophic has happened and I guess that we'll find out in the fullness of time what it's all about but the way the team and Supercars has handled it publicly really hasn't been smart at all IMHO. |

Looks good! Putting #1 on it seems like Erebus Motorsport being stubborn.
Is there any truth to the rumour of Erebus Motorsport tampering with the control Supashock shock absorbers in the 2023 season? Noting Barry Ryan is a shock absorber specialist. It may be fake news. I assume shock absorber teardowns or shock dynos are not part of routine scrutineering, but there are probably tamper-proof seals on them to prevent modifications, so I dunno. |

Pretty easy to see why T8 have been the top dog for so long - Dane is a natural leader and someone you want to follow into battle.
Would love to see him running Supercars |

Do you think it was "fun" to be part of Jordan's Bulls? They won though
Do you think it was "fun" being on Schumacher's crew? They won though Do you think it was "fun" being part of the Apollo missions? They won though I'm not sure where the line is drawn but some of histories greatest achievements have only happened because of "noxious" environments. Hell, Erebus did win after all |

Problem is that difference is defined by the individual - some would sell their soul for a championship. If Brodie doesn't enjoy it that's fair, but it's also fair to mention results. Erebus were clearly the best team last year

Erebus have won a single championship, and the list of people thrown by the wayside is long, and boasts names such as Hackett, Youlden, Renyolds and now Kostecki. |

So you're saying NFL/NBA/etc. coaches don't belittle their players? I admit it's not every coaches style but it's still common enough and they're often successful.
Very naive to suggest otherwise. Of the drivers you listed, how were their results once they left the noxious confines of Erebus |

If the only way you can win is by being toxic, you are a sh1t manager/leader.
End of story. Bosses might drive a workforce hard, take unpleasant decisions, push people to perform, even micromanage them, but that is not toxic management. Toxic is pulling people down, destroying them. |

When you are dealing with these types of personalities in positions like this. The main protagonist will often manipulate other relationships. Causing rifts between second and third parties. These people are experts at this, it can be very subtle. People outside the circle may never notice a thing or notice they themselves are being used in the game. Some people like pulling other people down. This is not health, especially if you are being isolated.
Good on Roland, again. |

If I was in a toxic environment, being pulled down and belittled constantly the last thing I'd do is go and win a national championship. Brodie is one in a billion to be able to achieve what he did in those conditions....oh, Will Brown top 5 in the championship is amazing given the circumstances too. Jeez, what are the odds of both drivers overcoming horrific circumstances to succeed? Truly special
