I saw the last few laps, where Canapino overtook a car to claim the title. It was intense.

He has won the TC championship twice (2010 and 2017), the Top Race seven times (Clausura 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017), and the Super TC2000 once (2016).

Yet some racing fans claim he's not worth it...

Canapino is a great driver, he made fantastic overtaking in this race and in the previous one to get the title.
Canapino, Matias Rossi and Pechito Lopez are the best Argentine drivers according to my opinion.

However, I feel hurt because I am a Torino fan and it lost a title that was very favorable. The Torino worked well all year but unfortunately in the last 2 races it was a real disaster.

I think that STC2000 cars have too much aerodynamics. They need an appropriate circuit in order to guarantee some show. Sometimes it reminds me DTM, but DTM has DRS so there are a lot of (fake) overtakes, STC2000 has less show but it's more "pure".

I am not a great expert in aerodynamics, but to my understanding the Super TC 2000 bases all its downforce on the front and rear wings that always need clean air to have all their efficiency.
In my point of view the Super TC 2000 needs to change the rules to generate more downforce with the floor of the car with front divisors, a flat bottom and a large rear diffuser.
The GT3 cars produce more downforce much of this with the floor and have no problems with the overtaking.

Another issue with STC2000 is that tyres are too wide. Being FWD, cars are too grippy.

The TC averaged 28k spectators.
The STC2000 averaged 16k spectators.
The Top Race averaged 6k spectators.
The most attended events for the TC were the 1000 km Buenos Aires (60k), Villa Mercedes and Rafaela (50k each).
The most attended events for the STC2000 were Santa Fe (35k) and Buenos Aires (30k).
