Shea Adam of RLM fame, Greg Creamer, and "Jonathan" somebody, I think they are also doing the track PA.
Edit: listening to it more, it sounds like Tom Gaymor - he's doing Eurosport with Martin Haven tomorrow, so maybe they are doing it from the track. Last edited by Ginaro Zukovsky; 19 Sep 2014 at 22:03. |

You know the placement of that onboard camera on the Oak coupe really gives you the impression of it being "two seater" as the driver sits so far in the right. Which is pleasant as usually these onboards almost make them look like single seater coupes

OAK was smart in introducing a new car after IMSA said they wouldn't BoP anymore. Of course, the race is a much different story. Odds are a P2 (the 10 or the 90) spins the OAK car turn 1, lap 1.

I'll be patiently waiting for the usual suspects to show their faces and complain about how unfair the bop is...

I saw some scary rain clouds. Is it coming to the track?

They just disallowed the 910's pole time in GTE because it didn't have a GD fake camera pod on the roof. What. The. Hell.

Thems the rules.
Break the rules, you get penalized. Every car has one so they disrupt the air over the car the same way. Without one you get an advantage. |

Yeah, that was NASCAR's excuse too. I don't buy it, but it's in the rulebook so it's their fault for not putting it on the car.

I got a little side-tracked.
The Oak Ligier put it on pole with a 1:57.809 (104.722-mph). For a track of its length (3.427 miles), Austin isn't terribly quick. |

That new Ligier is pretty quick. It may actually have less drag then DP for once.
That added weight BoP is hilarious. But seems to be actually working so far... |

Yes, Austin has quite a few turns, 20, in a 3.427-mile lap. Then again, Road Atlanta, when you count the esses and the chicane at the end of the back stretch, has something like 15-16 corners in a distance of 2.540 miles. VIR, when you count up those esse bends, has around 22-23 turns in 3.270 miles.
I will say, in reference to Qualifying for both series, you're not doing yourself any favors when you start messing with results that the people watching think are already set. |
