As a Mclaren fan I’m excited to see Cooper sign as a factory driver, but it feels like we are missing a more serious US programme. Paul Holton, Kuno Wittmer, and Michael Cooper are all now fully fledged Mclaren factory drivers, seems a waste to not see them used more extensively in the US |

Update to my post above...the sanctioning fee has apparently been paid to IMSA, so McLaren can now enter GTD with the 720S GT3.

Believe it is a discounted fee and they will be appearing in the new Sprint GTD championship. Apparently they can only appear in the sprint rounds so we won't see them at Sebring, Watkins or Petit sadly.

And? They've used it before without a problem and multiple corners on other circuits they've run have no runoff area. Why should that stop them from racing? You screw up and miss the corner then you pay for it, tough luck and don't do that next time.

Exactly. The circuit is fine. You shouldn’t expect a free ride everytime you go off

It's good to see he's keeping a close eye on it, I hope it continues to grow

I'm curious to see what happens with GT2. I think the idea is cool and there's a market for it (though that may hurt GT4). I would also hope it runs solo and not with GT3 as first discussed.

Well that is one question. I think it is good in it's own right, like the other classes, but we'll see where it ends up

I think the idea of GT2 on it’s own is good, but we’ll see what happens

In Latin America, Fox Sports 3 (former Speed) started airing reruns of the Blancpain GT World Challenge America.
