Er, um -
Current PWR cars are 042 (Bright) and 047 (Weel). Spare driven by Krause is 041. Kmart car Murph is in for Perth is 043 (was spare this year and won Bathurst last year), he's been driving 046 this year with Rick in 044.
That should help!

Thanks Noonz1,

So all the talk this year about Rick Kelly and Jason Bright having new cars is not correct, they have just converted nearly all the VT/VX's in the ex.TWR stable to VY's.

The list below reflects all the cars for HRT/PWR/KRT:

Chassis Team Car No. Driver Engine
041(VX) PWR 43 David Krause Chev
042(VY) PWR 50 Jason Bright Chev
043(VY) KRT 51 Greg Murphy Chev #
044(VY) KRT 15 Rick Kelly Chev
045(VY) HRT spare - Chev *
046(VY) KRT spare - Chev ^
047(VY) PWR 16 Paul Weel Chev
048(VY) HRT 22 Todd Kelly Holden Motorsport
049(VY) HRT 2 Mark Skaife Holden Motorsport

# Chassis 043 won Bathurst 2003
* Chassis 045 won Bathurst 2001/2002
^ Chassis 046 used by Greg Murphy (car 51) Rounds 1 to 4 of the 2004 championship.

I gather that chassis 050 is being constructed now for Jason Bright for Bathurst 2004.

Dont quote me on this but I think Daniel Miller still has his VS over here in WA. Raced it in a fellow State championship meets in 2002 at Barbagallo.

That car was the EX-Everlast racing car i believe

Likewise I have the feeling that the 'new' Perkins VYs being raced by Dumbrell and Tratt are also converted VXs and would explain why Richards has stuck to the same 041 chassis as he raced last year.

According to the Perkins website 040 was the chassis raced by Dumbrell last year, presumably this is the car now being raced by Longhurst. At the end of 02 there were 3 VXs (038-040)in the Perkins garage. One was raced in the early rounds of 03 until the VY debuted, the other was unused I believe.

I'm sure Noonz will be able to clarify.

Anthony,
The Tratt car is brand new this year (chassis 42), Richo is in 41 that was debuted mid last season. The Dumbrell VY is a converted VX to VY(chassis 40) and Longhurst is in the ex-DUmbrell VX (39). There'll be another VY on the way for Longhurst so there will be 4 VYS from Perkins Engineering by the end of the year

V8 Holden Chassis For 2008

HRT: WP07 Mark Skaife-debut PI last year. WP08 Garth Tander brand spanker
TAS: TM04 and TM05 not sure who has which. Last year JR had TM05 from midway through the year.
JDR: New Chassis for Toddler 046? I think. Price has last years car 045
BOC: WP05 Cam McConville-Skaife record round breaking car from last year.
WP03 Andy Jones-Toddlers car from last year.
HSV: WP02 Rick Kelly-same as last year I did ask Rick at Clipsal and he said new car was a few rounds off. WP04 Paul Dumbrell-GT's champ car from 07
GRM: VE09 Holdsworth-his car from last year. VE08 Caruso- Cantos 07 car.
PWR: Cam's car VE from last year. Have to confirm a few things with Noonz after talking with Kees Weel.
RNR: WP01 Original VE Commodore that was driven by Mark Skaife for the first four or so rounds.

Not sure on the other side chassis' and I am not really interested! Messers Lowndes might be having a new one for the next round or should that be an old one to wreck!

HRT
1 WP007 new chassis, 2 WP006 debuted by Skaife at Phillip Island Nov 07

TM
TM04 & TM05 not sure which order, for rounds 1-4 of 07 Murphy ran TM04 and Richards TM05, then switched

888
88 TE012 debuted Bathurst 07, Whincup's car rest of year, 888 TE013 new chassis

PCR
111 TE011 Lowndes 07 car

The only bit I am not quite sure about are cars 26 & 777, I believe these are FPRBA4 & FPRBA5. One was the TKR car at the beginning of 07, and presumably was the car that was raced by Caruso in the latter part of the dev series last year and will become this year's 777 car. I am not sure as to which it is as both the TKR and Marshall cars have been referred to as Bright's 06 car, which is struictly true as Bright raced BA4 in rounds 2 & 3 while BA5 was repaired.

I am pretty sure that BA 04 is the one that Marshall drove on the weekend. This would be the first in house built chassis by FPR. BA 05 then would be the kiwi/caruso car from last year which patrizi will be in. I know fpr now name there cars differently, this started with the first in house built car. what is there identification? i think i read somewhere it is like FPR 501, FPR 602 etc.

What about the team dynamik chassis? who has these now?

Skaife chassis is WP07. I remember talking to MS and PI last year and he said it was 07. A few of the HRT boys thought it was 06???

To clarify, from what I am lead to believe is that Kelly Racing have WP06 and it wasn't brought onto line due to GT's championship run?

Todd Kelly had a brand new chassis built by Perkins, sorry my numbers were wrong it is PE047.

Anthony, I have just about tidyed my info up, I reckon I will be able to email you it by the weekend! We do have a few conflicting bits of info, but that is always going to happen on the big jobs.

So is the new car for Rick you mentioned earlier going to be the WP06 shell??

(and therefore one would assume that WP02 would then become the WP spare)?

Slight correction. New T8 Chassis is actually TE012A. Don't know why they didn't just skip 13 and go to 14??? Go figure.

Anyone know the wherabouts of old AUs as an example. With the new V8 Series for ineligible supercars, it would be nice to know who had the original "Green Eyed Monster" and the 2002 BJR AU.

Noonz - Something I was gonna write to Chevron about with their great rac ebooks , in relation to chassis history is if they can also do a history of the cars in the fujitsu series race at the mountain. As most of us die hard fans, like to know where some of the main game cars went and whose got what and the fujitsu series would be intersting reading.

Bunch of good that did if the car currently sits bent on a jig.

I have known the guys at ANTRacing for awhile, so will give you the run down, on their supercars some of my memory maybe clouded and not saying all is 100% correct, so i am open to any other opinions, but believe the following is pretty close to fact
1. VS Commodore (PE 021) - used by ANT at selected rounds in 2002 (8th at Bathurst in 30 lap race). Was originally built as Diet Coke VP for Paul Morris. Car went through different owners not sure on the history during this period. Car purchased by ANT Racing end of 2001, start of 2002, Chassis was updated by Paris Acott during ANT owership (ie Larry Bar installed amongst other tweaks). Car sold to and now used by Mal Rose at V8 Drive school at Oran Park.
2. AU Falcon (Tratt - I think 99 Toll car). Not sure of the early history of this car, was bought a just a shell, and built up by ANT Racing, and used throughout 2004 in the Konica's. Was sold to Adam Sharpe Motorsport UK, Car went to UK.
-as a side note when AU roller was purchased it came with an EL roller (now the memory is clouded.... possibly GSR 003???? not sure sound right but cant be 100%) sold to a bloke in northern suburbs of melbourne for a rebuild)
3. BA Falcon (Tratt) built buy Anthony Tratt only did about 6 main game rounds, before going to Holden used for 2005 by ANT Racing in the HPDC sold at the end of 2005, used by Gary Deane in 2006.
4. BA Falcon (FPR BA1) used by ANT 2006, 07
-originally built for Craig Lowndes (Silver and Black CAT car 2nd Bathurst 2003 Lowndes/Seton). Used by Jason Bright in 2005 till Mid year.
Car driven by Tony Evangelou thoughout 2006 including Main game start at Phillip Island as the Team Kiwi entry,
Used in 2007 by Tim Slade at Clipsal/Wakefield, then Luke Youlden at Qld, Oran Park, Bathurst (round winner), Phillip Island
Car still owned by ANT Racing
Noonz any other info you need pm me.

Yeah I agree it would make interesting reading panel damage ... but its all about the 1000km race .... if you want any particular info on any cars in the series, send me a PM ..
But the chassis inventory has grown since it debuted in the book in 2000 . initially it was just text .. then got black and white pics ... and now colour pics ... its stepping up all the time!!

Re: ANT Racing

Just a minor side note, the BA from Tratt used by Evangeou then sold to Deane.

Apparently, this car is now owned by Joel Spychala. He debuted in the car at Phillip Island, 2007 (as #91). Now is in this years series (as #96...i think)

Can anyone confirm this...

This is accurate... sad to see that chassis performing at a similar level to when it was in both former owner's hands too

He is driving #046 which was Jacks car from last year. 047 is waiting in workshop for debut.

It's been good reading through the stories in MNews which i assume is the product of a lot of the discussion in this thread. Is it just me or did T. Mezera bin a good deal of HRT chassis?
