i dunno i may have a change of heart here, he might actually turn out to be good in an endurance racer. maybe toyota should put him in the simulator and see how he gets on |

Well he did seem to go to sleep in the middle of an F1 race (cue joke). So it doesn't seem a natural fit for a tripple stint night shift. Maybe it would be different, I'd like to see if it is.

Well if he got an LMP drive he would actually get to pass people, so maybe that would be more interesting to him!

His driving style with the famous 'Trulli train' mighyt be beneficial to them. He can be consistent and slow(er) yet still make it work with endurance type racing. We'll see where he ends up. But Toyota was like a 2nd home to him.

Was Davidson a top driver in F1? He may have been fast but he never got his 'chance'. Trulli- while not the fastest guy out there- should be plenty quick for an LMP drive. He is pretty consistent. In the interview he said he wasn't finished with Toyota. He WANTS a Toyota drive. I think they'll contact him. He may prove his worth in prototypes. Lets see what Heidfeld can do this year.

Mike Gascoyne said the following about Trulli's driving style:

With that comment in mind, endurance racing might not suit Trulli because he has to share the car with 2 other drivers. |

Maybe. But changing your style for a different series shouldn't be too big of a problem. He did test the Evora a while back and did some decent laps. He's not my favorite driver and I feel Toyota could have won races with someone other than him in F1. So if he doesn't get a drive with Toyota in WEC/LeMans it doesn't bother me. I'd rather Kobayashi!

Sharing a car with someone doesn't imply the car automatically will becomes 'numb'. On the contrary, to me that comment means he'll be much more at home in something heavier and more progressive.

I'm not sure why there's so much 'Trulli' speculation going on tbh?! But... As someone else stated on the last page, having an extra couple of tenths over your team mates is definitely not high on the importance list for most endurance teams and I doubt Trulli is much of a team driver anyways, and having to compromise the setup to suit 2 other drivers won't suit him at all. Honestly, I think if he wan't to move back to Toyota, he should look at Formula Nippon or SGT. Having him on the grid would be a huge boost to either of those series! Anyways... more TS030 news please! Quote:

Only news I've come across is Anthony Davidson headed to TMG today for simulator testing.

Buemi interview from the official channel:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-fSYtaQJoo Also short clips of the simulator (it's not that they're trying to hide it, considering this older video). |

Ross Brawn once said that...'3rd Driver Fridays produced 3 talents; Vettle, Kubica and Davidson!' I believe Ant' has more than proven with his 100% Pole LMP1 Qualifying, and his fiesty but calculated race wins that he was well up for it...but I respect him (unlike me) for not being bitter about it! |

Are they really having TC problems? Or is it just that the car has that much torque with the hybrid and new engine combined? Every video i have seen shows the car getting loose on the power.

The hybrid can't be a factor in slow corners as it's not even allowed to kick in before 120kph. So it looks like TC calibration issues.

Depends. It's limited to over 120kph only if it powers the front axle, there is no lower speed bound if the KERS powers the rear wheels alongside the engine.

Yeah, it's instant torque and probably a good 50-100+hp depending on how long they use the 500kj of power. It's still just their 2nd test though. So once they get on with the next test in a month, I would guess they'll have this upgrading along with their updated package as well.
