Halstead confirmed at Excler8 for a second season
Not surprising at all. Whilst he will likely be the slowest on the grid (unless Sumpton struggles early on), he seemed to make fewer errors later in the season.

Interested to see his new Razor/Crazy Cart livery given its being teased as "unique and eye-catching".

This line in the BTCC article caught my eye "Nick’s new partnership with Razor will not only see him adopt the moniker of ‘Mr Crazy Cart’ on track but will also see his Hyundai rebranded as the Crazy Cart XXXL". Unless he's actually going the full John B&Q on the entry list and TSL Timing, I can't see many people actually calling him "Mr Crazy Cart" nor call his Hyundai the "Crazy Cart XXXL". Still its all a bit of fun and Halstead deserves some credit for managing to bring a new sponsor to the BTCC despite the challenging economic environment.

As long as he doesn't bring the unpredictable driving style of the Crazy Cart onto the track again like he did last year!
He is going to have to up his game though, which he did when he was in Brit GT. With the smaller grid I expect he'll pick up a few more points finishes if there is a few bashes ahead of him.

I hope it genuinely is a unique livery and not just the same as the other 3 cars with a different sponsor logo slapped on the side. Exclr8's livery reveal event announcement referred to Ingram/Chilton having a special Bristol Street 100th anniversary livery, and Pearson with Macklin Motors colours so hopefully we'll have a bit of variety.

I understand the reason for it but having multiple cars looking near identical from a distance is annoying. Yes Napa, I'm looking at you!

That sounds like the most cringeworthy thing ever…

Wonder if he'll change his name to Mr Crazy Cart by deed poll like John Top Gear / B&Q

I guess so, but considering he spent most of last season in the gravel trying to keep up with the likes of Hamilton, Butel, Edward’s etc who are now all seemingly gone means it could get to the point where you actual feel a little sorry for him. Hopefully he’ll can improve in his second season nonetheless

Fair play to Nick Halstead. He's clearly a good businessman and salesman to get good deals together. If some of the "deserving" drivers can't do that, then that's just the way it is.

He made a lot of money about a decade ago with Twitter-related integrated software, the features and functionality of which were later sold to Twitter themselves.

He was also among one of the big list of entrepreneurs to back George Osbourne in the 2015 General Election:

Halstead only had 4 non-finishes throughout the year, 2 of which were at the first round. A fair few people had 3 non-finishes including Sutton, Butcher and Turkington

It’s a dangerous thing to judge a drivers talent just by the points they score . Nick H was gifted a big haul of points due to others drivers error but focusing on that takes away from the fact that first to score you must finish the race . As the interview says he realised how tough it was and he stood to learn from it. He had some high profile trips off road but seldom bent the car badly . The drivers I would trust least are the ones who often took others off the road in their over enthusiasm . This years grid has a fair few drivers who can be aggressive but less of those who push it a bit far . As I have said before the trimmed down numbers may help some refine and improve , give them a chance .

Apparently they should of given it to Dan Zelos. Has Jack Goff been forgotten?

Jack said he was retired from racing the last time I saw him (before he got married and now with a baby on the way chasing budgets isn't something he fancies doing anymore)

It was in reference to something I saw on the socials. Apparently Zelos should of been given it.

With two 'satelite' cars confirmed, I doubt the 'main' team is just a single car so would assume there 4 Toyotas after all but you never know

I think Toyota would get in a huff if they didn’t run 2 cars under their banner, but ran 2 satellite cars.

You never know, they may have huffed and puffed to fill the seat but have been unable to.

Ok crazy thought process time…:
We know there are seats going at WSR, Power Maxxed and Speedworks. There might be others but we don’t know if or where.

Edwards is clearly trying to get a seat and speaks highly of the team, WSR would be amazing but unlikely. My bet is on PM.

With 2 seats left I would be intrigued to see who goes where out of Huff and Thompson. Both could make those cars fly
