Sold to Ross Halliday who raced it in 00 enduros and in 01 dev series. Sold to Terry Wyhoon to race in 02 dev series, leased to Graham Crawford for a few dev series races in 03. Sold to Peter Vicary who raced it in the Touring Car Challenge in 04 & 05 and at least once in 07. All the DJR cars up until the BAs had yellow interiors, so presumably it is a repaint. |

Anyone know what happened to Warren Cullen's 1984 ATCC VH Commodore (Kmart Auto sponsored) (note, not his Bathurst VK he shared to 4th with Allan Jones which was converted to GpA specs in 1985).
I saw a car under a tarp sitting in the lower blue mountains a few years back wearing this paintjob. Was it a mock-up or the real thing? |

Can I go back to Kevin Heffernans VR for a minute and ask where it is at now, who owns it?
Anthony, I cant remember if your details had it. This was one of the last non HRT dencar chassis' wasn't it? I have some notes that question #34, but that falls into line with the continuation of HRT #'s |

If the white car went on to become the first Beikoff V8 Supercar then IIRC it was crashed in a multi-car with Phill Foster at the wheel at a Konica non-champ Bathurst race climbing Mountain Straight a few years back and hasn't been seen since as the team updated to their present AU via an EL. Phill I remember copped some unfair blame from some quarters for that when another car moved over on him first lap up the hill IIRC. Phill races sprintcars these days and was asked by a speedway infield commentator recently (who frankly didn't know his stuff generally) which V8Supercar driver would he want to be and said "Me". This guy then went on to ask Todd Wanless the same question... |

The Beikoff VS you mention was the ex Love/Walker/Imrie Perkins unit (#018) which was for sale in WA not so long ago. |

I was fairly sure both cars were still with GSR's workshop until I've mis-read something about the Beikoffs and put it together badly. I took photos of the green machine during it's rebuild but can't find them now. A photo would settle the arguement of which car by the interior colour of the car.

The Graphic Skills white VS and the Beikoff VS are two different cars. The white Graphic Skills car is the ex Trimbole ex Pinnacle ex Gardner car.
Shane Beikoff did drive it at Bathurst in 2000 with Tim Sipp. His later VS was the Perkins built car. The rebuilt ex Heffernan car had a green interior and cage after the rebuild. |

Thanks for the Heffernan info. Can someone please confirm that it was originally a DENCAR chassis?
What other DENCAR chassis were built in the early 90's apart from HRT? I have info on 1, sketchy info on 10 and 20 |

One out of left field, but i have always wondered about the fate of the two Zakspeed Ford Mustangs that Dick Johnson used in the 85/86 Seasons. I can vaguely remember one ended up in Perth and raced by Ian Love, and I saw one for sale a few years back (still green) with Precision Auto Engineering written on the side....
Does anyone know the fate of these two cars ? |

As far as i know, the Mustang that went to Ian Love was bought back by DJR, and this was the one in the DJR Collection. As for the NZ car, i'm not sure.
