Before they joined Jota I had never heard of Singer.
Are they so big they can afford a big FIA WEC sponsorship? |

2025
Next year is definitely going to be a banger. Predicting now a 4-6 way title fight, with Alpine and BMW making significant strides and Cadillac with their single lap pace and Jota's operational excellence factoring in. Toyota seems to have something in the pipeline to come back swinging (Maybe to counter Ferrari's straight line speed) and I'm sure Ferrari will be looking to introduce another Joker update.
Curious to where Aston Martin is going to come out of the gate and if Peugeot will make any improvements. The 2024 season isn't even finished and I'm already excited. |

There's rumors I read on another forum of one hypercar manufacturer pulling back it's wec program for imsa. DSC has a little bit to say on it in the post-Fuji write up. I'm thinking it's Lamborghini.

It’s great they are in both, but maybe the thought is to concentrate on one for a bit and put all your resource into that. Assuming it is Lamborghini.

Might be stretching their budget a little thin, especially with the 2 car mandate in wec next year. 3 cars vs 1.5 if they do wec and imsa. But if it's just imsa it can be 1 car full time and another for the endurance cup.

Endurance info talking about Lamborghini, and it looks like the rumors of a manufacturer leaving are concerning them. I really hope they stay as it's one of my favorite cars.

Could a season or 2 in IMSA help them though? Get a chance to drive, test and build a notebook before coming back to WEC with an improved car?

It might be budget related. I don't know how that gets fixed to the point they go back to the wec (if they leave). There seems to be financial worries for VW as a whole as well.

I always got the feeling that the Lambo programme was not the most financially stable and if I remember correctly it is funded by Iron Lynx and not that much by Lambo themselves. I believe this was mentioned in the Vanthoor podcast episode with Marciello where both Marciello and Dries said they were approached by Lambo but they chose BMW instead because the BMW was funded by the manufacturer and not by a third party team (Iron Lynx)

Iron Lynx spend an awful; amount of money, not only do they run the Dames and several other GT3 cars in both WEC and GTWC E, there is this program which I suspect they fund rather than develop, they run the Dames quite often in IMSA, all ELMS and there also a few French national rally cars that run under their banner including an all female crew who are rather good.

I read they are looking to switch to Porsche. Not sure the validity or the feasibility of that claim though.

They run 911's in ELMS obviously and I think that car seems to be the best car in WEC at the moment and the Dames always do better in it in ELMS than the Lambo which seems plagued with reliability issues. Despite being quick, oddly they are rarely on the pace at IMSA tracks, which I find odd. I would think the 963 would suit them better, but that is a huge leap, it seemed the whole Mabo effort was centred about this Lynx/Dames group.

I would doubt also that Dames and Lynx run anything other than Lambo next year, Manthey will want to be there to retain titles and Manthey wont run anything else I imagine!!
I think the only expansion will come from AMG wanting to be there, I suppose Dames could run Mercs? if they can run two marques in different series can't see the issue. |

That's why I said I don't know the feasibility of them running Porsche. There's already a Porsche team. So maybe they stick with the GT3 Lambo for now, idk. Lamborghini is also going to have a new GT3 in 2026. Maybe they want to stick around for that!

And an awful long time to wait when the current car is very up and down with pace and seems unreliable, I can just see them moving, especially if Lambo hypercar only races in the USA
