I wonder what it could be? Cicely already have Morgan confirmed, what else could they announce?

Both of these announcements could just be sponsors, but hopefully they will be drivers, and potentially a new car for Power Maxed.
At Ciceley, the only real teammate to Morgan I've seen mentioned is Michael Crees, but as he's been linked everywhere this is far from a certainty. Another driver I would suggest might be there is Senna Proctor. Someone mentioned recently that two seats at BTC are not yet signed, and I would have thought Cook, Proctor and Edwards would all be signed by now, so perhaps one is leaving. And Proctor wanted that Ciceley drive last year before losing it to Chilton, and also said something along the lines of 'it's just one year,' when signing for BTC. However, considering how well he went in the BTC Honda last year, and how much he struggled last time he was in a RWD car with the team probably more focussed around the other driver, and the fact that he beat Morgan in the championship last year, it would seem a very strange move. The former WTCC champion was also mentioned, but I don't think that will happen. At Power Maxed, I think it is very likely that Jac Constable will be one of the signings. The team tweeted recently, 'will he be in an Astra next year?' which would be a strange thing to say if he wasn't (and also suggests maybe they are not changing the car, but this is still a possibility). As for his teammate, Bobby Thompson is the driver who I thought it would be and have done for some time, but someone mentioned he said he had no interest in the BTCC in Dubai so perhaps it won't be him. Michael Crees has also been linked, but he has been linked to other drives as well. I think if he's not at Ciceley or Power Maxed, he will be in the fourth Cupra along with Goff, Taylor-Smith and Smelt. But, considering what we know about the team, I can't imagine Power Maxed wanting to go into the season with a rookie and a driver with no outright podiums. I think they'd want a star driver, so although budget may prevent them from getting one, I wouldn't rule out a former race winner. But it almost certainly will not be Jason Plato, or at least I would be shocked if it was. |

I think Cicely could be announcing a sponsor, but PMR could be announcing a new car
Who gets the second Cicely seat is anyone’s guess. Does Crees really want to make a comeback? And I’m not sure what Proctor wants to do now. I also can’t predict who’s gonna get the BTC seats. I guess Cook is the best option for them, but who else? Proctor obviously still enjoys the series, but his options are limited atm. I think Chilton will come back stronger, last year was a bit of a culture shock to him. He sometimes flatters to deceive, which is not great for a driver of his record. It’s gonna be hard for anyone at PMR to follow what Lloyd has done there. Will have to wait till tomorrow hopefully. Not surprised Bobby Thompson doesn’t want to come back, he’s probably enjoying racing elsewhere. And I can’t see Crees there either. Team HARD seem to once again have bitten off more than they could chew with four cars, how many do they need? Can’t see that being a hot ticket We should know more this coming week |

Rory Butcher confirmed this week - along with confirmation of the team name being used for a 3-car entry.
Two 'big' announcements due tomorrow. Still waiting for the JST field to expand. |

Reckon Ciceley's will be Crees. Or maybe Hamilton. A mahooshive announcement to some, and underwhelming to others!
Presumably PMR's 'big' driver announcement is more than Constable. Other than a surprise third return for Josh Cook, I wouldn't say there are any 'big' names from the '21 grid without a drive. Hamilton or Edwards maybe.... We'll know tomorrow! Of course, I'll be completely wrong! |

There is an all-new Astra out, which is also available in hybrid form..... Could be an ideal time for Vauxhall to rekindle the relationship. Stellantis are making good profits already which will feed decent marketing budgets - a good place to advertise your British car brand is in the top level of British motorsport.

Pleased to see another rookie, with decent pedigree as well. Not exactly big news though!
Wasn't he the one who was drink driving and crashed into somebodies house? |

Another ex-drink driver in the BTCC then.
Mr Gamble got a fine and a 20 months driving ban back in 2018 for crashing a pickup truck into a cottage which later had to be demolished. People can change etc but show how desperate Ciceley have become. |

Wow I didn't know this about him. Not a very good background then although his racing CV looks decent. Suppose he'll be outside Top 20 for much of the season unfortunately.

Yes, and left the scene and sneaked home in the dark. The result of the crash was actually filmed for one of the TV police programmes, including the police going to his home immediately after the crash and arresting him in front of his father. He was banned for nearly two years after pleading guilty. The house, a pretty old cottage, had to be demolished due to the structural damage done by his crash. |

Hopefully he can put that behind him and have a great season ahead of him. After all what happened was a few years ago, I'm sure he's learned from it. Just hope he has
