Nice find. There is not really that much raw amateur footage from those years.

Might have been posted already, but good onboard lap with Strakka from a few camera angles (and hopefully watching it will tell Rupert Murdoch that Endurance racing interests us!!).

From 2011 practice, click here.

By the way, that footage from '91 is awesome.

This is a Japanese 1989 Le Mans review. I watched it for the good sound quality. Thankfully the commentator really doesn't speak a lot... he is totally silent for long periods of time so there's nothing covering the tv feed track sounds.

Having never been before, is this area off limits to spectators? It seems like a fairly large track to police and make sure no one gets to where they shouldn't be. Great vid btw! I like it because for the most part there is a break between packs. I know at Sebring you never get away from the sound. But here it's just a nice sunny day in France and then bam!

Yes, I've made it. I found a legal way to the Ligne Droite des Hunaudières - or Mulsanne Straight - during daytime.

6:30min raw video footage, we've spend nearly half an hour there but then got lost trying to find a way to the chicane. A part of the group succeeded, I ended up in the Technoparc with another part of my group

I enjoyed this. They were pretty even-handed and even included footage of the Audi passing the Pug. The "we got two cars on the podium" at the end seemed a little bit like trying to put a happy face on a big disappointment. However, all-in-all, a nice piece of work.

Also the ILMC points table at the end. But that was kind of nice too, after Quesnel told that Spa 1000km was just a test before Le Mans (probably very much true, but still).

SuperGT vs ACO

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqtDe...eature=related

Rare video of the one time the Toyota GT-One raced outside Le Mans.
It's also very interesting in that it features the old GT1 (a lone Mclaren F1 GTR which was actually pushed into the GTP category with the Toyota) the new GT1 (then GTS) and JGTC/SuperGT GT500 cars all on the same race.
