It's a good calendar. I'd like to have seen Thruxton for selfish reasons but didn't expect it.

Where are you booking flights? I've tried finding decent cheap flights around the UK, but driving always ends up cheaper. Cheapest I've ever seen Edinburgh/East Midlands at is £100+ per person. Cheaper to drive even in my relatively uneconomical 45mpg Fiesta. I've got to do a week in Bristol next year, and no matter how I spin it, the 450 mile drive is cheaper than flying and/or train. Sometimes hiring a car and driving is still cheaper than the other options.
320 miles for a racing event is nothing IMO. Happily did that for Donington trips back in the day, and LM is almost 900. |

Hope they do a better race on the full Oulton Circuit than the BTCC did

FlyBe, usually. The best I've managed was £56 for the round trip, but I guess you have to play the odds (and the cookies & IP address game) to get in at the right price point. For that trip it would've cost me £80 in diesel or £150 on the train!

Then again, it's like the old saying - "In Europe, 100 miles is far, in America, 100 years is old." I always thought it was SUPER embarrassing for those BTCC teams that wouldn't go to Knockhill because it was "too far." |

Well if even the founder is saying it's below the BTCC, I see no real threat to either series. As I expected, it's probably gonna be akin to the National Saloon Championship

Imagine the TCR UK drawing in some international interest, like the TCR Germany does. Then it'd really be interesting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Brisky Racing might run Jake Hill, who tested the new car on the weekend, next year alongside maybe Natalie Brookes and Jade Edwards. Motorsport for Woman will be supporting the team this year, with the two aforementioned currently supported by them (and also currently driving with Brisky in Fiesta's).

The support package for TCR UK is looking good. National FF1600 announced a few weeks back and Mazda MX-5 Supercup announced today.

Aiden Moffat was out testing a Romeo Ferraris Guilietta TCR today. Maybe ahead of an entry to the UK championship?

I see they consider TCR a feeder series to the BTCC. Guess it has it’s place in this country
