My thoughts and prayers go out to my fellow Floridians bracing for the storm. Found out my son has a mid-term exam Thur AM, so we can't head up until after that. Will probably be getting there sometime between 5 and 6PM that evening, uggg.

Will there still be daylight around that time? Sounds like with all camping being sold out, it's going to be immensely packed. Hoping to find something not too far from the restrooms at Turn 4 or Turn 5, but I'm guessing those areas will be the first to fill up? Should I even bother trying those areas? (have tent & canopy plus SUV)

Sunset is around 7ish so you should be good there. Dinner break around then and quali for Pilot guys and then night practice so it shouldn't be too crazy to drive around then

How much space ya need? I can try and save your some space by turn 5

It's filling in quick, we made space for some guys and they proceeded to set up in our spot so that's nice of them

I've heard there's a family that turned all the turn 5 parking into one camp site

It's packed in here already, not sure there's a space bigger than a bivy sack camp left from T3 to the Esses now. Might have to venture in to the woods getting here today unfortunately. Each time I looked away someone crept in to camp or parked in it

Think there's one space left along the fence for a canopy. It's gonna be crazy come Saturday in here

I just saw this on the FB thread regarding NR RV:

"We were directed to the north 40 by the folks in the guard shack after driving around everywhere 3 times. It’s beyond the ladder paddock area."

Sounds like it's going to be a madhouse! Leaving FL panhandle in about 20 minutes, so at this point, we're just going to make do with whatever we can find.

Been here since 7:45am on Tuesday. Things are way past packed already. Can't imagine what it's going to be like on Saturday. All camping is sold out. First time I've seen infield parking sold out.
