BoP update: LMH hybrid deployment minimum speed raised to 190km/h for Sebring. Toyota's switch to wider rear tyres is looking more understandable.

agree, 190km/h should be in 3rd or 4th speed... acceleration advantage of AWD that toyota had when was out from slow corners is basically killed.
I also saw that alpine top power now is 575hp when last yeat was close to 600hp, I would had thought that was done to extend R13 stint length, but engine revs however high up to 8500rpm. |

Not much advantage to run a hybrid with that bop. We'll see how much it evens out the cars. Though I'd rather they speed up others than slow down the fastest this might be a good solution for now.

Tweaked Sebring list featuring an Algarve-named entry - https://johndagys-wpengine.netdna-ss...st_09_03v3.pdf
A few drivers added and some gone missing. |

Good to see APR pull that together so quickly.

Should have put yellow wheels on it like the Cup cars.

Still slightly disappointed not to see a second Glickenhaus car on home soil, I was hoping with the somewhat lesser 'bureaucracy' that is letting APR compete under their own banner (kudos!), the WEC would let Jim run a second car as guest entry. Remember there were 3 available spots on the grid already with Peugeot and GR Racing opting out of Sebring.
Maybe Glickenhaus isn't interested in running a second car for the non LM races? |

I think it is a bit of both there and possibly the funding for the 2nd. Plus the drivers may have other commitments, have not kept up this off season as much as usual with where everyone is

I too like the Penske livery, as it is an actual livery rather than some random colours and a load of logos.

i think it's the yellow, personal grudge, i can only see it as a rubber duck or a kids dinghy
but yeah i agree. good, clear branding and it won't look daft if they have to start adding extra logos and that kind of thing for driver and team partners. it is retro, and it looks very IMSA, which is cool because IMSA is cool. |

For Brits, just seen news that Eurosport will be taking the WEC world feed commentary this year. Not sure about LM, but for the other rounds that is fantastic news.

So there will be commentary which relates to the image on screen rather than a random selection of words?

Remember if you want a random selection of words, RLM is still available.

BoP ALERT!
https://www.autosport.com/wec/news/w...pener/8873345/ The actual BoP: http://fiawec.alkamelsystems.com/Res...R_04032022.pdf The new section on the speed the front wheels can put the power down is included. Less energy per stint for Toyota (phew!), Glickenhaus and Alpine. Less power for Toyota and Alpine. More weight for the Toyota. |
