So while LMP1 is still unspoken utopia, Jag might (allegedly) go FE instead
http://www.racer.com/international-r...ormula-e-entry Well, it is cheap... and easy Funnily enough, judging by the last chapter, the Autosport staff member doesn't seem to recognize the Rocketsports XKR GT2 program as having been works campaign... even partial as it was... well I'm sure Jaguar itself would agree with that sentiment too, no need to associate yourself with that failure garbage project |

Seems very strange Formula E seemed to fizzle out this year, hardly saw or read anything about it

That's because the previous season ended in June at Battersea and only started again in October, there's been 2 rounds of the new season already but both in Asia. It's only coming back to Europe in the spring again.

Basically what WEC could've been with the dreadful winter series concept... but that one would've had even bigger gaps between events than FEW does

F-E is not that popular, yet. It may get there if more makes like Jaguar enter.

I don't care if they're slow, sound like crap, or look like crap. The main three issues are
- Spec nonsense (yes the powertrain dev is still nothing) - Immature battery technology makes the car swapping embarrasingly... well embarrassing - Stupid fanboost nonsense for entertainment value no one asked for Now you may ask yourself, why is Chiana so excited about the upcoming Roborace support series then... particularly when they're having at first spec cars and almost surely not so great technology initially too. Well I've explained it before already, on two sections of the forum too, so there. And it's not really even the series itself, or what (hopefully) follows, but the general concept which IMO is truly the future. The electric cars, yes they will evolve and racing (probably) with it... but robotics + AI have future not only in our equipment but in numerous areas areas of our lifes. That's the ticket lads Last edited by Deleted; 12 Dec 2015 at 00:26. |

They are. I remember an interview with Nelson Piquet Jr. when he was here in Toronto as a guest driver in the Indy Lights series. He said something to the effect of "it's nice to be back in a fast car again". |

So they're officially back now, with factory FE team. Might be seen as both good and bad for the hypothetical P1 aspirations... if one believed they've had any basis in the first place.
