Great result for 007, a little fortunate, but they were fast the whole race. Drudi is a great addition to the Dane train, a strong lineup of drivers in that car.
Feel for Ferrari, they regularly mess up pit stops but this one wasn’t of their own making. |

Made about half a mile down the road from me. Lucky yes but as Wattie said is it really luck, this time yes, but you have to be in the right place, and after the stuff AF have done this year, they have won LM twice, but the way they acted after Spa I am quite glad about this.

Well it doesn’t seem to be a great day to be a BMW at the top of a championship. In BTCCC we see the driver in top spot being assaulted by their rival’s teammate, then we see the same with the 32WRT at the ring!

Strangely wild start of a WCE race!
Strange to think this sort of carnage hardly ever happens with these huge fields. |

Not sure if it's for the right or wrong reasons, but that was a intriguing finish.
#30 taking massive plaudits for getting the strategy right and winning overall. |

The monza race was just madness. So many FCY, SC. No idea who would win until the end because of the extra pit stop (they had 3 stops this weekend rather than 2 because of fuel)

While the last few laps were definitely fun, the end result felt like a bit of a lottery. Ever since this whole FCY -> SC procedure has been introduced, the racing (and driving standards) have gone downhill.

Wonder if Broc hung around to see how the sister cars fared through the race though? Hope he's in a car in Riyadh! Good to get a feel of how this series teams operate compared to what he's seen at home and in the Asian series. As for the overall race it was one of the maddest i've seen in its history! Cannot believe the 51 AF Corse lost after such a pace advantage. Strange to see so many cars pitting with only a handful of laps left! Not sure i've ever seen that in GTWCE before? Great to see so many battles for the too olaces but pethaps a bit too much banger racing though! Did the Mustang get a big BOP break overnight for the race??? It was a completely different animal than on Saturday? |

Three stops were mandated (3-hour races usually have two stops), with one fuel-only. The long safety car periods stretched most teams' last fuel stints well into the final hour. It succeeded in generating interest, but it very much feels like a problem of SRO's own making in being so restrictive with pit stops in the first place. |

It was interesting and a lottery this race
Turns out all cars were limited to 55 minutes stints (this was 65 minutes in the past) meaning they had to do a short stint at some point but there were also 3 mandatory pit stops. The 30 and 32 apparently did all their 3 mandatory pit stops in the first 3 laps of the race under safety car - which then it allowed them to be more flexible with the pit stops at the end. I like the 55 minutes stint rule as it adds a bit of uncertainty on strategy but I think they should do something about teams being able to do all mandatory pit stops under fcy or SC on consecutive laps. |

A bit like Indy these huge grid races on fairly short tracks are a bit overkill to be honest,.

I was not talking about Spa as far as I know!! Monza and Indy are fairly short for 50 car grids.

I wouldn't call an almost 6km long track "short"...

Of the FIA Grade 1 tracks, Monza is 11th out of 40 for length, Indianapolis is 33rd. There's literally a mile's difference between them.
There is a discussion to be had about GTWC grid sizes at certain tracks, but Monza is definitely not one of them. |

OK than lets call it a simple track, it is very fast aswell so the laptime is fairly short, I know pedant-ism is rife on here but I would say trying to get 50 cars round most tracks other than Le Mans, Spa or a few others is a tough ask. Can there be at least some agreement on that!
That after all IS the point |

Any new GT3 cars or evos for 2025? Or are we waiting for the flood of new ones to come in 2026? And I guess Acura is joining Nissan, Bentley, Dodge, and Audi on the list of no longer active GT3 manufacturers now.

I think some of these might be used in lesser series but not the big stuff
