well, Gilham was supposed to drive the Rotek car at Brands, wasn't he (before the shunt Holland had)? So I wouldn't be surprised to see him as a driver...

With BMR building the extra Passat's in season, not only do we have the Insignia's 'spare' WIX have a shell with a cage ready to be a 2nd car if they can get a TBL. Rotek want a 2nd S3, I'd imagine at least 2 of the MG's will be sold on & from what Andy Jordan said the Eurotech current Civic's will be replaced (does a Depper own the 2nd one that Smith use to own?), plus the Civic/s that Chris James supposedly bought if that ever happened?!?

Motorbase are keen to sell customer cars so maybe more Fords, unless the do build a 3 series Beamer & sell on a Focus or 2. Leaves teams like United Autosport with a fair few options if they trade up from the Toyota's. Definitely the first time in the NGTC era that the 2nd hand market has got some choice!

Don't forget though that teams may scavenge the subframes from the old cars to build into the new - so the 'spare' bits are essentially empty caged shells rather than complete cars.

Good point, though Houseman made a complete Toyota out of Morgan's shell. I deliberately didn't mention Dynamics Honda's as they may well use a lot of the Tourers for the new Type-R if they build that.

Infiniti set to enter 2 x Q50's in 2015

The Q50 is sized like the Passat, Avensis and A4. There's a bit of a split with a group of cars from the C-segment (Honda Civic, BMW 1-series, Mercedes A-Class) and a group of cars from the D-segment (VW Passat, Toyota Avensis, Audi A4). I'm a bit torn about it, I don't know whether I'm happy with the current diversity or whether I'd rather see all cars from the same segment.

They plan to introduce the Q30 later, which as you say is based on Mercedes A Class platform. No world on who will build or run the cars, but RML is still linked to Nissan through work they have done on special versions of the Juke, etc, so maybe they are likely - depending on budgets of course.

I am also wondering if we may see Red Bull involved in a reversal of thei reversal of the F1 sponsorship, with Red Bull sponsoring the cars and of course Andrew Jordan is a Rec Bull sponsored athlete as they call them. I know I am putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 18, but you never know...

Why would WSR want to 'axe' somebody underwriting their efforts ?

If MG pull out then the only works team would be Honda and Jason has always driven for a works outfit. He isn't going to move to them so Infiniti would be the obvious route for 888 and Jason to take up next season.
