If the gap continues to grow like that, Toyota can pull out that additional stop.

I wonder if the #1's Hybrid system is still working, or are the tires gone

I love that they're showing so much of the other classes and have been focusing lately on the Strakka-JRM battle. As interested as I am in the Toyota-Audi dynamic, theres 25 other cars that deserve some TV time as well. After the last 10 minutes of Silverstone, its great to see the directors redeeming themselves.

Nice battle between Strakka and JRM - down to the drivers and set up on the cars, good to see them so close.

Gap is 32 seconds now, after less than 90 minutes.... geez, if this continues Toyota can comfortably pit.

Nishy coming back at Treluyer.
Few bits of front aero missing off Dumbreck's car which won't help through the twisty stuff. A couple of dive plains down. |

Wish JRM would hurry up and pass the Strakka car, there is the logo of a well known British newspaper on the side of the Strakka car that really doesn't deserve a single second of air time.

Massively wrong coverage around Hillsborough aside, I don't see any other British newspaper putting forward any sponsorship to sportscar racing.

Toyota still losing time at every pit stop, 10 seconds slower than Audi this time.

No you are right, it is decent of them to put some money into the Strakka team. Not the right place for me to raise my views and i appologise, just gets me a little annoyed.

Hybrid Audi seems to have made up about 10 seconds on the pit stops. 30 liters less of fuel added last stop.

Audi admit that tyre deg is hurting them. Not able to go as long into the second stint. #1 went shorter still. Can Toyota really do this?

If the tire deg is a problem for Audi at the end of the 2nd stints, it will negate the advantage they have on the fuel economy. Instead of gaining a full stop, they will only gain about 10 seconds a stop from having not having to fully fill the tank. Toyota could be looking good here.
Spin for TK! |
