Doesnt sound like the most amicable of splits. Wouldnt be surprised to see a change in GT3 MFG for Iron Lynx all round

Seems even in the US another team might have to run the Lambo and not Iron Lynx. However I thought that IL (or Prema) were the main ones funding the Lambo project so the split is quite curious

and that's where IMSA comes in, as that participating series that has a deal with ACO.

In the meantime, this situation also helps Aston Martin, making the 2-car team more easier to get to the grid for WEC. Not to mention IF, Vanwall, et cetera...

Whats the story with the WEC noise regulations? Ive seen it mentioned a few times that GT3 cars will need to be at 100db and Hypercar at 110db?

One thing I have noticed is how very quiet the GT3 Porsches are in WEC they make hardly any noise, which when you consider a few years ago...

I don't think the Porsches are that much quieter, still make quite bit of noise with that distinctive engine note

As far as I am aware the LMGT3 Porsche is quieter than the SRO GT3 Spec Porsche. I've read they have to run the Nordschleife spec silencers in LMGT3.

It is quite funny when you think only a few years ago the old RSR was spectacularly loud and the first mid engined cars were one of the loudest things on track if you were watching!

I guess also if they are Manthey cars they will be used to using Ring spec stuff and Manthey being him, probably found some power without being louder!! Or lighter etc?
