"In this, episode 46 of Powertec 10, David Vizard tells how Hi-tech and circumstances led to him setting a record at one of England's premier race track, namely Silverstone, that will probably never be broken. Not by even the F1 brigade and all done with a really slick 1293 Mini Cooper 'S'. At this point in time, that is before viewing the video, you will never guess, not even in a hundred years, how this came about."

Boy, sounds like a driver looking for where to have an accident. As it happens, I know where he crashed the car into the shop really well, having used that road myself many, many times in the 60s, and he must have been lucky not have had a more serious incident because he would have had to have crossed the Finchley Road to go into the shop. And that road then, as now, was and is always busy, both day and night.

A very lucky escape for Roy Bourne in 1966 when you see what has passed through the windscreen....

I was probably at that meeting! Cadwell is a great circuit for Minis and was always my favorite.
