I wonder why lotus isn't racing a Evora GT3 (Don't know if the Evora GTE does at America), is such expensive a GT program like Lambda does With Ford or like Nismo with GT Academy?

Because nobody wants to buy their second rate cars.

Ford (Or lambda themselves) and Nismo do, and currently they aren't (Racing) best sellers anyway...

He wasn't talking Ford or Nissan, he was calling Lotus' second rate cars second rate cars because they are second rate cars no one wants. Not even the factory (see AJR GTE effort)

The only one that I can think of that you haven't listed is the Viper CC but you've done well to remember so many.

Whatever happened to the Genesis Coupe? Would've been great to see a few of those being raced this year in the AsLMS and SuperGT.

AFAIK the Genesis was discontinued due to lack of support from any organizers.

Yeah, I forgot the Viper. Couldn't edit my post anymore when I realised it.

Austech Motorsport said that they were going to make a GTE, GT3 and GA-GT version of the Genesis. It never really materialised. They only have this for now, no real pictures.

And from that link you've provided it also says;

It was designed with these events in mind and is cheap and easy for privateer teams to run and maintain.
Which makes you wonder why Austech haven't pushed on with this project as I'm sure many people would like to get their hands on one, just to dip their toes into GT racing without paying a small fortune to do so.

I hope it gets picked up again at some point because its a decent looking car.

A few points:
1. I dont think this list is quite current.
2. The Maserati has just been homologated and will likely be homologation number GT3-033 (unless there have been any more cars homologated in GT3 since the list i have was published)
3. I dont know what has happened to cars GT3-011 and GT3-012 unless their homologation papers have expiered.

Could that have anything to do with cars that were supposed to be homologated, but weren't in the end? I'm thinking of the Mosler for example.

And the Emil Frey Jaguar, Gallardo FL2 and Camaro.

It's interesting to see that there are 2 Dodge Viper Competition Coupe's and 2 Corvette (Callaway) Z06R GT3's on the list. But not the Audi R8 LMS Ultra and Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+.

We're also missing GT3-21 and GT3-27. Perhaps one of these is the Jaguar XKR GT3 from Apex Motorsports and the other the Ford Mustang GT3 made by Marc VDS & Multimatic.

Yeah i dont quite understand why some cars have been homologated twice and some like Audi R8 LMS Ultra and Lambo Gallardo LP600+ do not have separate homologations. Possibly there was more fundamental differences in the Dodge and Corvettes chassis/construction whereas the Audi and Lamborghini are more like significant upgrade packages then new cars.

No idea on the missing cars, this is just what was on the FIA list i found, im intrigued.

Interesting, the Ford GT is eligible until 2019. By then it will be 13 years removed from production.

Somewhat OT, but there are claims that the McLaren has lapped 6 seconds faster that the GT3 lap record at the Circuit de Catalunya!
