The BJR's of the world prove winning isn't always necessary but I guess if you are the Ford homologation team it should be somewhat expected

And by owning 90% of the team I will call all the shots and under the Corporations Act will be able to compulsorily acquire your 10% whenever I feel like it. Not as if fans are going to be given a golden share that will allow them to veto an Adderton decision.

Another DJR Departure
The Ford Gen3 architect…. Makes you wonder did DJR clean house then imported Erebus ‘24 intact, or did they import Erebus ‘24 and everyone is leaving unhappily? |

The guy is so refreshing in his honesty. Why keep doing it if you don't enjoy it and can't get the results you want? If you are 40 with over 15 years the main game, choosing to retire now is solid financial planning AND the chance to win another race or two.

Slade started his career at Morris though in 2009, not Stones

Dumped from PMM by the sponsor, not the team.. Presumably the hype beat the substance in this instance. Interesting to read of Mr Dane’s assistance on talking to Castrol |

The mob on Fox today suggested that Mr Kostecki will be required to support the DJR sponsor pool. From the tone, they seemed to wonder if it would be possible, and maintain focus on physical training & car pace.
Given that Mr Kostecki seems to have brought his whole trainset from Erebus.. perhaps his Bathurst winning codriver is destined for a bigger role than a typical codriver next season. Perhaps him being the chief sponsor supporter plays to Mr Hazelwood’s skills in that space, and equally is able to do so as the recency of the current Bathurst winner, lending plenty of credibility to that endeavour. The new full time pilot can then enjoy the game of being a pilot, and dragging the DJR operation back to the front. |

That why he is getting paid the big bucks. Pressing the flesh with the sponsor pool is part of the gig. Sending Tonto in place of the Lone Ranger won't go down well.

I'll be interested to see if Wilbur can give Brodie some training tips. Yes he looks big boned and can clearly drive but to me he looks overweight too. Imagine how much better he could be if we was in tip top shape physically.
