But the point is that this is definitely not the race you want to show your potential or bring any surprises... as there's the question of pre-LM adjustments. So dress rehearsal, without actually showing the dress is the way.

sincerly i don't think that bop would really be usefull to slow audi cars... ok maybe the car will get +15kg and maybe an higher ride height (i don't think that the already short diesel restrictors will be touched anymore), but what will really change in the competition?

Audi being the only ones who would be worried about this. The only other case you could make would be the privateers colluding to try and make a case that diesels are too quick. Having said all of this, the ACO is unlikely to make any adjustments based on the cars in this field anyway. Until they know the pace of the Toyotas, nothing is getting changed. As far as the ACO is concerned it really is only Toyota and Audi that matter.

The BoP system in WEC is that the slowest car gets sped up.
BTW 2% on a two minute lap means 2.5 sec. |

The only other case you could make would be the privateers colluding to try and make a case that diesels are too quick, by driving around at 95% or something. Having said all of this, the ACO is unlikely to make any adjustments based on the cars in this field anyway. Until they know the pace of the Toyotas, nothing is getting changed. I think the 2% only applies to diesel-petrol, not petrol-petrol difference. Correct if I'm wrong
And I wasn't talking about P1 alone... there is no more 0,5% in GTE. And even if there was, Schnitzer learned the hard way two years ago that this is definitely not the race you wanna shine |

Well, you can't judge the diesel v petrol difference, until you get the factory petrol out there. The GTE category is naturally close enough, so nobody is worried there.

i can't see beyond the white paint on the dome, it looks hideous, particularly next to the audi's. they're stunning, but i think that's down to the detailing.
can anyone do a quick idiots guide to what's happening in the field behind the audis? who are we expecting to go well? |

i've been looking at that, but i don't know what to expect and whether anyone is slower or faster than expected. i was rather hoping someone might be kind enough to explain who's looking good in each class. it's ok for you guys who are very familiar with the entries...
this is a difficult discipline to get into for a newbie from single seater type racing, so you'll have to excuse the stupid questions |

Strakka going to sit out second practice.
Not a surprise to see Leventis bin the car. Even the best crash but this is not the first time this has happened. He did it right in front of us at Le Mans last year in one of the night practice sessions to put them in a hole. |

The gaps in LMP1 are pretty discouraging... 4 seconds, jesus.
I guess we`ll see whether that's the diesel or the factory gap once Toyota is there. I sure hope it's the latter, otherwise we`ll be in trouble... |

The Toyotas (as long as they'll be running trouble-free) will probably be somewhere in no man's land between the slowest Audi and the Rebellion Lolas/Dome/OAK/HPDs.

I suspect the gap will be 7-8 seconds at Le Mans, again. Exciting... |
