I think we should complain more about F1, this is not reason enough to become a little more happy with the category.

Here's the catch: as long as each of them are racing against each other, and Raikkonen, Alonso, Hamilton, and Massa are still on the grid, the harder it will be for each of them to capture win number two.

So question has to be asked, is it STR are switched on at present with car setup, or Vettel is a tad special with his ability to feel the car and dial it in? I bet Webber is stoked to have guy that will really push him and development next year. I dont think Webbers pride is so fragile that he will complain if Vettel is quicker, rather he will jsut work harder and dig deeper. Either way, its will be good for RBR

He may have been close on the grid but he was 8/10ths behind on time, Vettel is special, Bourdais is steady.

Bourdais was consistently strong in Champcar over for over 3 years, including 3 championship wins.
I always wondered how strong Champcar was at that time but now I don't. Bourdais is good... His times in difficult condiditions and earlier in the old car he matched Vettel. Now he has the current STR to his liking he is going to be strong for the rest of the season. |

Bourdais' fastest race lap was the second fastest lap in the race.
Vettels was the 14th fastest.... |

It was thrilling to see Vettel break into the winners club, but I suspect it will be quite awhile until he sees his next victory. It's good that he is so young.

Vettel is more than a one hit wonder- unlike Button who has shown incredible faithfulness to the HondaSquad, has only one win and does not look like he can get more in his position,
Vettel on the other hand has already been pipped to go up the "ladder" within the F1 grid so i see more coming- good on the little guy |

I just wish Heidfeld was already a member.
It will be tremendously sad if he doesn't get at least one. |

Yup.
He grabbed my attention when he was battling with JPM in '98. He was distinctly impressive in 2000 (one of his best years, IMO). Whilst Schumacher M is the only driver in F1 I have ever been a full on fan of, I've always had a soft spot for Nick since '98. Whilst it is looking like he's likely missed the boat in WDC terms, I am holding onto the hope that BMW will give him a long overdue win. |

I hadn't seen this thread before, it's excellent
To summarise... I'm glad to say that out of the four drivers from above who are still competing in F1 (Trulli, Kubica, Kovalainen and Vettel), all of them have a chance of escaping from the "one hit wonder" list in this season. Kovalainen is possibly the driver who will struggle the most to achieve this. I'm also glad to say that we should also be welcoming some new drivers into the list very soon, albeit temporarily. Glock, Rosberg, Heidfeld and perhaps Webber have reasonable chances; but unless they suddenly find some unexpected good form, I can't see the likes of Piquet or Bourdais challenging for victory. |
