I'm thinking that the Porsche's problem isn't a quick fix or may be terminal. There's not a lot of urgency in that garage stall. Both Audis have been by and are now 2nd and 3rd.

#18 was slow into turn #1 on the lap prior to it pulling into garage.

Now I wonder how they did the fastest Le Mans in the history(pace, not distance) without this kind of issue.

Hartley only has to bide his time. Unless the Porsche breaks like it's brother did a while ago, Lotterer won't catch him being about 2/3 of a lap behind.

With Lotterer onboard, #7's fastest lap now is only 1 tenth away from the Porsches and #8's best qualifying lap

FOUR MINUTES between commercials on FS2. I'll never feel guilty for circumventing IMSA to see the commercial free, Varsha-less stream ever again.

Good job for Porsche. Theyre car is mostly untouchable unless it has issues like the 18. Fuji should be a great race with the top speeds of these lmp1's.

A real shame for the guys in the 18. I also feel bad for Mr. Conway. You could tell he was gutted when he gave an interview shortly after his return.
Congratulations Porsche to your wins in LMP1 and GTE Pro. |

Even with a last lap of 35 minutes, the #18 was still classified?

Congratulations Porsche. I had hoped for a 1-2. It it too late tonight and I have a day and a half drive back home, but before end of week I will post photos from today.
Quick funny story... I am not one for autographs, but did participate in the WEC driver autograph session. Long story short, Mark Webber effectively refused to give me an autograph! The fans were roughly lined up as the drivers moved along signing and handing out photo cards. He moved right past me as if I wasn't even there. I moved to two open gaps later in the line and he did the same thing each time. I gave up after the third attempt. Not sure what was going on, but it was funny. I must have reminded him of someone he didn't like. I did get autographs from other drivers just fine. Richard |

Curiously, I guess GT500 might have higher top speed given they have 640HP while LMP1 have less than 600(hybrid power is only used on low speeds).
Anyway, Audi had 10kmh of more top speed over Porsche here and still lost the race on S2. Dempsey was too slow even when compared to the other amateurs: http://fiawec.alkamelsystems.com/Res...river_Race.PDF |

Brown is a legitimate hazard because he regularly fails to drive fast enough to retain heat in the tires, thus he proceeds to get even slower then crash in some completely nonsensical way.

If Porsche wants to win the driver championship, maybe they should start playing the Audi trick at or at least after Fuji: let the 17 have all the poles, and let it finish in front of the 18.
The 18 crew is so far back now, that it will be difficult for them. |

Toyota have got to be cringing looking at Fuji, you can never discount miracles, but they are probably going to be well off the pace and with all the big bosses watching.

Where X can be any hour from 1 to 24, obviously. If I've explained it right, this is the list for the full race (i.e. at hour 24). |
