Great addition at Doha, two historic support races for CER1 and CER2 by Peter Auto. Will the old Peugeot's meet the new ones? OK, I know where my coat is…

37 full season entries, "garage space limitations" @ Imola and CotA cited as the reason. Don't waste your money betting on guest entries at other rounds either, it ain't happening.
Imola was part of the ILMC (WEC's predecessor) once in 2011 and hosted 49 entries (48 of them took the start). I never heard any grumblings about those numbers back then and most 2011 rounds had an entry of around 50 cars. CotA probably has the widest pitlane of all tracks in N-A and it isn't exactly short either. Should easily hold 40+ cars. Wonderful stuff once again from the blue blazers. Man, I loved the ILMC days! |

I could see extra entries for Spa but any others? Doubtful.
And I think it's the change from older 2 trucks and canopy covers to now full blown garage and F1 style setup. Plus whatever other garages needed to have fancy pants folks be able to have a space. |

So the 36 has become 37 (odd number) with another Ferrari 499P? (customer team due to rules but pretty close to Ferrari really)

There were a few stories kicking around about confirmation that Ferrari couldn’t have 3 factory cars.
Going to odd 37 number must be for Ferrari or Peugeot ( enough Porsches already and not Caddy) and new OEMs wouldn’t have enough capacity. Plus Ferrari must be making another 30 or so (usual XXK? numbers) of chassis and most parts. Peugeot redesign also makes 3 of them unlikely. A yellow (with a red stripe) one from Belgium would look good. |

Well there have been some other bad decisions lately like restricting GT3’s from ELMS etc

Did I read Proton are likely only running one car in WEC?
Assuming JOTA run two full season, Caddy only run one (doesn't bode well does it!) and Isotta run one... It looks like if Ferrari are ready then the third car goes straight in of course. If not then Vanwall squeak in maybe? |

Is there any indication on who might be running this possible third Ferrari? I assume it wouldn't really be a 'pure' customer entry and would involve heavy factory support and essentially function as an extra works car a la AXR with Cadillac, Risi maybe?

Same as potential third Peugeot, full factory entry but paid by someone else.

Won a 3am garage tour to AM during 2017 race. Think there were 5 garages next to each other 2 Pro, AM 98 Am car plus to other Am teams - on the back pretty much all one setup with racks of bodywork spares for all 5 cars side by side - so factory support for most of the tricky stuff.

I feel like this needs some dramatic music
Although I’m not sure there are too many surprises this year? |
