Honestly apart from the incident in the rain I didn't see any issues at Donington. BGT isn't the first series to have been caught out with cars on slicks in a sudden downpour. And the driver who committed the biggest offence was a Pro, not an Am.
I like the Pro Am aspect of British GT. Having 3 hour races rather than 1 hour races also seems to produce less of a race under SC (percentage wise). So I'm down for 3 hour races at each event. |

I think until you see the cars trying to navigate these tracks in person it can often look OK on tv, Donington is OK but Oulton is certainly not. I think the series has been unlucky with weather, but that is why having a GT series in the UK has always been tricky!! Pro AM is always going to be the way, the rich guy are the ones that keep the series afloat, it would be dead without them, but I am not a fan sorry.

But is that because he is a half decent 'amateur' partnered by a very decent pro?

Half decent? No. Couldn't get out of his own way in Carrera Cup or BTCC. Have to give props to Sandy Mitchell for overcoming the human success ballast he's laden with.

Martin's kept his powder dry so far this year overall I think. Doesn't have to be an sce, just do a sensible enough job so the pro doesn't have to much to do. |

And a very expensive one for some... |

Snett this weekend and unfortunately Dan Harper's 'not sure' comment at Spa about the rest of his season in the series proved to be correct in that he and Johnston are absent.
Also missing are Beachdean and one of the McLarens. |

Not good at all. Both RAM Racing cars (GT3 & GT4) excluded from the meeting at Snetterton.
"Following a sporting decision made by the Championship Clerk of the Course/Race Director, several incidents of abusive language and a threat of violence towards the Clerk of the Course occurred. Representatives of the Entrant, Ram Racing arrived in the Clerk of the Course's office to express their view against decisions made by the Clerk of the Course, in a manner that was considered abusive and threatening. These included J Ferguson (Driver Car 15) and R Hopkinson (father of Driver L Hopkinson - Car 17)." |

Not gream you would think that he might want to concentrate on being a better driver and trying to give his illustrious team mates half a chance!!

Sounds like the sort of behaviour you'd expect from the entitled rich boys with pathetically fragile egos that GT racing is full of. They obviously haven't been handed enough participation trophies this year!

FF Corse to enter a Ferrari 296 next year!
Great to have the Italian marque back full time. Century are going to buy a brand new M4 GT3V Evo for the series. Presumably they will just update their current cars if people want to race them here or in Europe. Hopefully we will hear more from Academy about their Mustang GT3 plans soon. |

A Gt3 Mustang would be great, I have also heard the calendar might be shaken up a bit due to the incidents this year, I feel it needs to all be shoved to later in the year to avoid the safety car races we had earlier. Hard to do but for the people spending the money surely a better bet.

British GT it seems, Loggie and Keen to switch for the remainder of the season:
British GT - Loggie and Keen make Porsche swap Disappointing that the D2 AMG won't be out at Brands, but be interesting to see what sort of pace they have in the Porsche. |

Gap between P1 and P2 at the pit stop time was 27 seconds, crazy difference.
Lot of punctures in this race. |

Two ìmmediate questions from that; will Phil Keen continue or will Iain try to get a factory Porsche driver alongside him? Will 2 Seas still run the car, and if so will they look to be uniform and run a 2nd Porsche for somebody? |

Their initial getaway was aided somewhat by the squabble for 3rd which delayed a couple of people. |

And after witnessing John Ferguson slamming and kicking the car after retiring it on Dunlop Straight at donington makes me think not all is good with that RAM BMW M4 and the team |
