Question. Would this happen if Bridgestone teams were leading the championship?

We are witnessing the arrival of a single/control tyre formula for 2006 - there is no way that the FIA will allow a tyre war to continue if the companies involved push the envelope so far that cars are not safe to race.
Control tyres it is. |

If the spectators are throwing stuff on the track they will have to stop the race.

The ironic thing about this is that the IRL, and the IMS' owner, will be racing at the old USGP track, Watkins Glen, in a couple of months. Only NASCAR would chose not to race due to tyres, but that is contingent on weather conditions. Outside of that, it's on. A lot of bad press for this, I see. |

How would you feel if you payed a large sum of money to see a full field of cars race, and then only get 6? You shouldn't blame the fans for expressing their anger at Michelin and the teams. It is understandable to think that the debris is not safe for the other 6 cars, but the FIA could stop the race (which I think they just did). |

Seems like Paul Stoddart has some harsh words - lets just hope someone listens to him this time and we can make some sort of positive from this?!
