It wasn't a classic but all in all it wasn't a bad race either and there was a popular winner. Chevy had the edge over Honda but Honda managed to get five cars in the top nine, including a podium. Former 500 winners Alexander Rossi and Ryan Hunter-Reay, sort of made up for Andretti Autosport's dismal qualifying by finishing a creditable 4th and 5th respectively. Got to feel a little sorry for Danica going out like that. A finish would have been nice, rather than the wall at Turn 2 but that's Indy. 1 Will Power, Team Penske. Seems another exciting Indy then and a well deserved winner. This engine competition is one of the best things about Indy. Keeping Rossi has been good and Hunter-Reay is still as great as ever. Shame Danica couldn't go out on a high. But it was a tough race.
Power deserved that win. Carpernter and Dixon, good to see them up there. Plenty of talented drivers in the field from all over the world. Chilton looks a bit down in this series. Some regulars down too. Bourdais still can't resist doing this series. Some drivers did nothing. I wonder if there were any surprise performances in this race? Sato shame he went out early, he's shown he belongs in any series, but sometimes it just isn't going to be your day. |

Thanks for this thread guys, specially to BJS. Watching the comments rolling up yesterday was almost as good as being there and probably better than watching the advert filled tv coverage! Your discussion points are (in the main) well reasoned. Thank you.

Well this is a great thread to do and everyone seems to enjoy it. If you can’t watch the race this is a good alternative, although those with BT could have

I'm sorry I missed this pertinent question. JP was at my house and we were three beers in each at the green flag. Unsure of ratios but hope you caught up properly by the milk drinking....

I think everyone who saw it enjoyed it. I guess a few beers watching it enhances the experience. Milk to the winners

I think it does alright, especially as the racing seems to be closer, hopefully the drivers views will be listened to though |

The race wasn't the best, but a lot of that I'm blaming on The Worst Broadcasting Group. The most boring, bland, lame broadcasting in racing. |
