Soooooo with Binder not doing GP2 then but F3.5 (suprise!) .... how does it look then?
Still Carlin with a seat available, StatusGP not confirmed anyone yet? And are the guys who tested at Arden signed? |

This is sad, it's a spec series, it should be at least vaguely affordable. The general lack of interest in F1 at the moment is hurting feeder series also, but there must be something that can be done to reduce costs? Some of the drivers that have been announced aren't that good also.
I really like GP2, it's been in general a very enjoyable series, though I disagree with all the unnecessary toys being given to the drivers recently. But if they do manage to merge it with WSR (or whatever that's called now) and rename it F2 then that must be a good thing now. |

If you think GP2 is bad, check out the F3.5 entry list for the Barcelona test. It's becoming a systemic problem.

Look what Dan Andersen and Michelle Kish did with Indy Lights, it was dying series, as well as hole open wheel in US. They are thriving, healthy grid (in this age) of 15 full timers and at least two part timers... with good quality of pedallers and starting budget at just over 1M bucks... Racing is awesome. But, they do not need to compete with 15 other junior ranked single seater formulas.

How much is a win or pole position worth in F4? Nothing. As far as I know, only the SMP championship has any kind of substantial prize money, and it's still lower than the Mazda Road to Indy equivalent. |

AFAIK the prize money for winning Indy Lights will buy you three races in IndyCar the following year, that would include Indianapolis 500. Not to mention prize money for USF2000 are buying you most of the season in Pro Mazda, and winning Pro Mazda helps incredibly in getting on next step of the ladder, Indy Lights.

Norman Nato leads Day 3 times: http://www.gp2series.com/News-Room/N...-Day-3-on-top/
Interesting that the field was much closer this time, only a 1.5 second spread in the morning session. |

It's with the very little running on Primes in Free Practice and even less running with Options in Quali where the boys are seperated from the men. |

these are the status trucks, aren't they? suspect it gives an indication as to how likely we are to see them back on track this season...
