And Duval sets a 25.5, so everybody is capable of going quickly at this point in the race.
If the #8 pits with 51 or more minutes left then they will need a splash or some extreme fuel saving. Last edited by J Jay; 16 Oct 2016 at 06:48. |

I had originally thought Audi pitted early because they had counted back and figured exactly how long they could run ... now I wonder if they didn't pit early because Duval's tires were used up, and now they are just trying to make the best of it.

Anyway, the #8's "fastest driver by far" will have to do something to make up for it. Edit - Duval passes Jani down the straight. Pla almost collects Hartley as he goes off out of T6. |

Top three are in with a shot with about an hour to go. If the #8 Audi can hold off on pitting until less than 50 minutes to go, they should be OK according to what JJay has posted. But that's what they'll have to do to seal this one up, and it's not over as long as the top three are within about 10 seconds of each other.

Looks like it'll be a 244 lap race, so the #8 needs to make it to lap 210.

Yes, the lap times are why I didn't figure they needed to stop early. Also ... i thought Porsche was faster than Toyota, but maybe it was Porsche faster than Sarazin. Very happy with Toyotas's performance this weekend. |

Dr. Ullrich conveniently avoiding Louise's leading question. It looks like the tyre gun or whatever not-refuelling delay hasn't been solved yet.
Edit - That's a long stint from Duval, but he's made it. The #8 won't need a splash anymore. |

I'm not right often, but when I am
Better stop. Still 85 seconds, but sticker tyres are on. Now do Toyota/Porsche play with the tyres to get track position and risk being at the mercy of the fastest driver of the fastest car? |

Duval sets fastest race lap on his first flyer.
Now it's how long do they keep the #6 and #1 out on old tires. |
