Ford to revive F-150 Lightning name for new electric pick-up
The heavy-duty EV will revive the Lightning badge, which was previously used in the 1990s for a number of road-focused performance versions of the F-150. That follows a trend to revive classic names for EVs set by Ford with the Mustang Mach-E electric SUV. Ford has yet to reveal technical details of the F-150 Lightning, but the firm has promised it will offer the “power, payload and towing capability that is the hallmark” of all Ford pick-ups. |

I believe the reveal was of the production truck for 2022, it's a loss leader to build the branding and electric take to lower their CAFE numbers

The most common consumer ones will likely be the 52k model, so not out of line with the same offering with EcoBoost engine. The 30kish truck is for what's actually going to be sold as Commercial line, I haven't seen one but guess rental fleet style interior.
So far if Ram follows that path I would consider one to replace the truck in 6-10 years. Wife gets her car first. But for me, not offering the longer bed is a definitely no thanks as the extra 8 inches makes the truck look better and supports 8' within the tailgate. However, the front truck does look sweet and they have learned to make it huge and as open as possible. It has USB and 120V power in it as well, they claim you can run many portable refrig/coolers on it. Total of 8 120V on the XLT, optional 240V becomes standard on Lariat and Platinum. I think they're targeting 320 mile range with just over 400 for the ER option. The charge time without the good chargers isn't great but not too far from others on a 120V line.
