Williams will end up as a Mercedes B team, despite Claire's protests, IMO. As a plc they have stakeholders to answer to, they can't just pour money away running an oversized operation paying people to replicate the design and production of items they can buy in, that will arguably be as good or better.

Presumably with the news that Lawrence Stroll haas agreed terms with the FI administrator to purchase the team this will have massive financial repercussions un the Williams team for 2019, who will now presumably lose their principal benefactor. Of course this is compounded by the loss of Martini f$$$ or next year as well. Their resykts this year are hardly going to attract future investment, certainly not to the level of the income lost.

He has already done a lot of testing for F1 so presumably it is not an issue. If you are likening him to Ticktum, the latter stuffed his chances by getting a 12 month ban mid season, which effectively ruined two seasons championships, championship position being critical in amassing points for a Superilcence.

The Administrator has agreed a deal for the sale of FI to a consortium lead by Mr Stroll - that's what has changed.
