Sorry, now I'm confused. I meant B08/60, since the B08/80 is just going to be the wind tunnel model.

DBR9 doesnt look that well in light blue anyway (RaceAlliance) !!! But , the color scheme looked pretty good on the McLaren F1 long tail , like below . Replace the black with BRG and it might not look so bad . Anybody good with doing an artists impression of what it might look like . Thenewbob for example ? http://www.racingsportscars.com/phot...-07-20-003.jpg Gotta keep the orange wheels though . Opps ..... just found this on endurance-info http://www.endurance-info.com/2008_L...n_Gulf_bis.jpg Last edited by The Badger; 10 Jan 2008 at 11:44. |

I liked the Race Alliance/Jet Alliance schemes.
Guess Prodrive wont have to worry about the heat from the roof anymore with it being all light blue. |

Well, it's mid-day. I wonder if Lola will show the actual car or at least a rendering.
As for the DBR9: Already pretty cool, but they need orange wheels... |

A little more info from the DSC article.......the car is being prepared prior to a 'significant' test programme with Charouz. Public debut will be at the official LMS Test Days at Paul Ricard. |

From DSC:-
Quote:
Diesels a 7% restrictor cut, as they'll be coming on very strong in 2009, making larger gains than petrol eqivalents. GT1 petrol engined cars a 4% restrictor cut as the ACO will want to retain and attract 'GT1' manufactuers to LMP1. Racing petrol engines a 2% restrictor cut as these engines clearly are struggling, but a manufactuer should be able to match the diesels if my suggested restrictors are implemented. The ultimate goal must be to bring the perforance level of all thre engine types to the level or a Judd/AER engined petrol P1, who lapped no quicker than 3.34 in the 2007 race, but should be around 3.32 in 2008. Bu if we've learned anything from the increased manufactuer interest, it's that just like F1, any restrictions are gained back in short order through intense development. |

Good news all around, although I'm a bit disappointed if I'm honest. I would have liked to see AMR running the car instead of Charouz. But, I'm still glad to see a new P1 entry and a coupe.

Maybe AMR will move to the P1 once the car's proven, and they will potentially be up against GM! Last edited by JAG; 10 Jan 2008 at 16:19. |

How great it is to see that AMR is venturing in GT1, GT2 as well as P1 now!
The Gulf DBR9 looks stunning indeed: http://www.planetlemans.co.uk/cmsv2/...k=view&id=3509 So the P1 will be carrying 700 BHP's then? |

Well someone on here last year was reportedly saying that the Peugoet was producing 733bhp at the pre season test at Paul Ricard, exceeding the official figure of 700bhp given by Peugeot at the cars presentation. Chances are that both the Audi and Peugeot squads are pushing hard and id not be suprised if that figure was closer to 750bhp for the diesel cars. As for the petrol engined cars, well im no engineer so I will leave that for somebody else to work out.

Howard Chappell, in his interview, has stated he would like to run full ALMS season with DBR9. Link here:
http://www.americanlemans.com/News/Article.aspx?ID=3875 I guess sponsorship and resources will be final determinant. DK |
