Cancelling the Daytona sprint also allows GTP teams to focus on endurance testing, I guess.

The IMSA ladder system proves its worth once again, with Wright Motorsport runing the Volt racing program in GTD for Hindman and Brynjolfsson. The pair won the GT4 class drivers championship last season and are making the step up in to the main series. It is a great move, and the car will really "brighten" up the GTD class.

Think the difference is people are already watching the F1 weekend and FP gets coverage. IMSA doesn't get practice TV for all sessions and the quali/Roar both had good on track support with Scouting

Pfaff returns with a great lineup, "defending IMSA GTD PRO effort with the arrival of full-timers Patrick Pilet and Klaus Bachler, and the returning Laurens Vanthoor for enduros in the No. 9 911 GT3 R."

Interesting that it sounds like the P2s are running IMSA programs not their own testing. Various aero, power settings to help define the window they want.
S365 reporting 70 entries filed for 60/61 slots. Teams should know tomorrow if they're in |

I know we enjoy to see as many entries as possible - but this can lead to multiple FCYs and knowing IMSA procedures these last a lot longer than they should with all their pit sequencing and lap-arounds etc I usually prefer a smaller field where all the teams have a chance of being competitive in their classes and leads to long spells of racing (let's be honest in very large entry lists - some teams are there to make up the numbers and do not stand a chance at being competitive). Would not mind large entry lists for club or amateur events - but top tier championships and races this can be problematic as well. |

Some more unloading pics:
https://sportscar365.com/photography...-daytona-test/ All 3 Caddy's are in their "testing" livery. I was hoping to see what they will race with, but GM will be releasing that in January. |

When's the last time someone put together a list of expected partial and full-season entries??? Anyone want to point me towards a website, a post I missed, or put one together?

I think you have to piece together a list but seems like numbers will be slightly up.
Porsche expecting 7 GT3Rs at Daytona and a program that hasn't been announced to be announced soon. S365 says to expect Daytona list in the next week or so, expect 61 entries with a reserve list |

This is the best I have, bit of a sloppy tracker, lots of TBC's and guesses.
Seems like the entry announcements have been slow this year compared to previous years... Anyone else feel that? Best I could work out is 33 entries, so its a long way off the expected 61 cars. I think LMDh is now present and correct, I dont envisage more than 5-6 P2's, the same for P3, so the remaining numbers will be mostly in GTD, maybe a few more in GT PRO Daytona 24 Hours - 33 Cars LMDh - 9 Cars Action Express - Cadillac V-LMDh - Pipo Derani / Alexander Sims / (Jack Aitken) Chip Ganassi Racing - Cadillac V-LMDh - Sebastien Bourdais / Renger van der Zande / (Scott Dixon) Chip Ganassi Racing - Cadillac V-LMDh - Earl Bamber / Richard Westbrook / Alex Lynn Meyer Shank Racing - Acura ARX-06 - Colin Braun / Tom Blomqvist / (Helio Castroneves / Simon Pagenaud) Team Penske - Porsche 963 LMDh - Dane Cameron / Felipe Nasr / (Frederic Makowiecki) Team Penske - Porsche 963 LDMh - Matt Campbell / Mathieur Jaminet / (Nick Tandy) Team RLL - BMW M LMDh - Conor De Phillippi / Nick Yelloly / (Marco Wittmann / Colton Herta) Team RLL - BMW M LMDh - Philipp Eng / Augusto Farfus / (Sheldon van der Linde / TBC ) Wayne Taylor Racing - Acura ARX-06 - Ricky Taylor / Filipe Albuquerque / (Louis Delatraz / Brendon Hartley) LMP2 - 4 Cars TDS Racing - Oreca 07 Gibson - Steven Thomas / Scott Huffaker / Mikkel Jensen TDS Racing - Oreca 07 Gibson - Francois Heriau / Giedo van der Garde / (Josh Pierson) TF Sports Racing Team Turkey - Oreca 07 Gibson - Juan Manuel Correa / Phil Hanson / Charlie Eastwood / Salih Yoluc Tower Motorsports - Oreca 07 Gibson - Kyffin Simpson / John Farano / Josef Newgarden / Scott McLaughlin LMP3 - 4 Cars JDC-Miller Motorsports - Duqueine D08 Nissan - TBC Jr III Racing - Ligier JS P320 Nissan - TBC Jr III Racing - Ligier JS P320 Nissan - TBC Rick Ware Racing - TBC - TBC GT PRO - 5 Cars Corvette Racing - Corvette C8.R GTD - Jordan Taylor / Antonio Garcia / (Tommy Milner) Iron Lynx - Lamborghini Huracan GT3 - Mirko Bortolotti / Andrea Caldarelli / (Romain Grosjean / TBC) Pfaff Motorsports - Porsche 911 GT3 R - Patrick Pilet / Klaus Bachler / (Laurens Vanthoor) TBC - Lamborghini Huracan GT3 - Vasser Sullivan - Lexus RC F GT3 - GT Daytona - 11 Cars AO Racing - Porsche 911 GT3 R - Gunnar Jeanette / PJ Hyatt / (TBC) Kelly-Moss Motorsports - Porsche 911 GT3 R - Kelly-Moss Motorsports - Porsche 911 GT3 R - Turner Motorsports - BMW M4 GT3 - Bill Auberlen / Robby Foley Turner Motorsports - BMW M4 GT3 - (maybe) Iron Dames - Lamborghini Huracan GT3 - Iron Lynx - Lamborghini Huracan GT3 - Team TGM - Aston Martin Vantage GT3 - Hugh Plumb / Matt Plumb / Owen Trinkler / Ted Giovanis TBC - Lamborghini Huracan GT3 - Vasser Sullivan - Lexus RC F GT3 - Volt Racing - Porsche 911 GT3 R - Trent Hindman / Alan Brynjolfsson / (TBC) |

There'll be a handful or so divided over GTD-Pro (Risi and AF Corse?) and GTD*.

Testing is ongoing at Daytona after a successful run on day one for all teams. It seams of the 9 cars only 7 were on track as BMW and one of the Caddy's were still building up a new chassis. Unofficial timing had an Acura at 1:36. That compares to a pole time in 2020 of 1:33.
Teams just seem happy to be there and get their cars approved by IMSA and the FIA/WEC while working through various testing programs and getting drivers seat time. Nobody is expecting to try for quick times. https://sportscar365.com/imsa/iwsc/d...y-notebook-10/ |

Does feel like the early DP era and likely LMP2 overall winner. But Porsche and Penske both know how to sort out the gremlins

In the video he and Graham Goodwin did for Racer, MP mentioned a lot of bets have been placed on what people think will be the leading P2.
