Could do with a some entry news couldn't we. I make it about 37/38 spots still to fill on the list.

Changes to entry criteria and additional garages being considered.

Obviously aren’t getting enough attraction, so need to extend it. We’ll see if it works

Well they need to sustain it. They need to make sure they keep the entries high or there will be trouble

I think they need to make sure they don’t reduce. They can’t afford to let many teams go

That's the old GT3 car, also the laptime was set by a gentleman driver while the Vulcan was qualified by Peter Dumbreck.
The new GT3 didn't take part in qualifying and went out on track with the race already underway, it then carved its way through the entire field, eventually creating an 18 second lead over the second placed Vulcan. |

Well it’s not really fair there. Good job by Dumbreck there. The Vulcan though was not that great and wasn’t worth bothering with, it’s race pace was horrible

Well they need to keep it sustainable. Otherwise there is no point. Shame this isn’t like the good old days though

Well, it's been sustainable since 1923 (with a break for war along the way), so I've got a sneaking suspicion it will remain sustainable for a while yet - it'll see me out, anyway....
Which set of 'good old days' did you have in mind? |

Well it was always ahead of it’s time, the post war days it’s when it really started. I just wonder if it’ll continue in it’s current guise
Ceratinly the pre-2012 days were exciting in it’s way and could have been even better |

There will always be changes to the 'guise'. In my 33 years (34 this year) of attending the 24 Hours I've seen Group C, the phenomenal Toyotas and Peugeots of 92/93, the fabulous GT1s and more recently the hybrid rocketships - and that's just the prototypes (or 'prototypesque'). It is effectively inconceivable that Le Mans would not continue in one guise or another. No guise will stay the same for ever....

For the same reason that if a restaurant is fully booked you instinctively want to eat there. Or if there's a sold out concert or you can't buy this limited edition thing you really wanted. That's why there should always be more entries than garages at Le Mans. Because people will always want what they can't have.
It creates desire and really all of this shows the race is in good health. If they can squeeze in a couple more garages then fine but I think there's something to be said for keeping it exclusive. |

A few 'safe' assumptions off the back of the Spa entry list:

Well we are only speculating. We are hoping for a decent lineup. Hope more big names join the series
