I just can't stand it though when there isn't any competition in the top class and just have the cars parading around with all the cameras on them when there's obvious competition in other classes. I like MM and I'm greatful I got to see rebellion at long beach and laguna, but I just hope Mm doesn't barge in any battles or gets to much tv coverage.gets us ready for 2014

You must be confused. I said ALMS, not Grand-Am.

Half hour? Three laps tops....

You obviously don't know how fast that place is.

However much they lost last year (I think it was four laps) led to the closest finish in ALMS history. Three would be much to o little this year... Muscle Milk is going to be racing ESM and Level 5, Dyson won't ever see the checkers.

Only two cautions at Lime Rock, and only one caution at Mosport.
At this pace, maybe Road America will be caution free.

The great thing is the racing will still be close...unlike some other series.

No, I was thinking of some other North American series' (plural?). You know, the ones that need yellows to make the race interesting.

We get it, you like to feed the trolls but could you find some other entertainment? It's getting old enough I have gone from multiple visits a day to now usually every 3-4 days and have to skip whole pages in the threads.

And lets cars make up at least 8 laps through no effort of their own.

Obviously some of you don't seem to care for Grand-Am. Don't drag your hatred for another series into an ALMS thread, please. Grand-Am is good (if not great) for what it is: slightly lower-budget multiclass endurance sportscar racing.

I agree with broadrun96. If people want to pick a fight with other members and leave a trail of unhappiness and bitterness about the state of a series which is still quite good, then they should go to the USCR thread. Don't spoil a wonderful ALMS season for all the rest of the Tenthers.

Thank you.

Jeez, a 2-day ticket to the VIR round is $80 or $90 at the gate. I'm pretty sure I paid $70 at the gate last year. I guess they're trying to get as much money as possible from people since it's doubtful the new series is coming back.

Looks like the Deltawing is making progress, only 5.2 seconds behind the Muscle Milk LMP1 and about half a second behind the ESM LMP2.

I know this car has its haters, but I really want it to be successful.

I just hope they have mothballed that awful coupe version.

Not sure if you know about this but the ALMS channel on Youtube has loads of old full races on it.

http://www.youtube.com/user/ALMSOfficialVideos

I'd like to download a few before they potentially disappear when the merger happens so could anyone give me some suggestions for the best races please?

I love to re-watch PLM 2008 and Laguna 2009. There are others, but those are the first two that come to mind. BTW, I'm totally computer illiterate. Is there an easy way to download off youtube?

Well, there are some add-ons for browsers, but there are also these internet-based download/converters, just google "youtube download"

When I want to download something from Youtube, I use http://www.lataayoutube.com/

If you use Firefox, there is an add-on called "DownloadHelper" that works great for downloading videos off Youtube.

I noticed something very interesting looking at the TV schedule, Petit Le Mans will be broadcast Live on Fox Sports (either 1 or 2). A sneak preview of next season I guess?
