That's a brilliant pair of moves from Chiyo to give Nissan the win.

Im slightly disappointed in that finish. Well done to Nissan. But the safety cars ruined a real race to flthe finish imo. It was easy pickings for the GTR with that two lap shoot out. Its at least 10kph faster than anything out there

Lol how can anyone be disappointed with that finish? Disappointed with the number of safety cars, granted, but not the finish. It was epic.

Great call GTRMagic. I didn't think that Chiyo had the pace to make up the positions on pure pace (and I though Bell would have kept a faster pace), but credit where it's due.Chiyo was right there when the final safety car was called. He would have had 4 laps to overtake the top two instead of just the 2, so it's highly likely the race would have had the same winner.

I think he was in that position thanks to the final safety car. Without that he was further behind. The Nissan was a little overpowered imo. It was a good race during the actual racing!

Well done Nissan. I am happy for them after their last Bathurst race ended so early. Really bummed for the Bentley team and I think were robbed of a podium. The Craft Bamboo Aston should have been penalised for the dive on Brabham.
The biggest issue was the safety car. It was called out for many incidents where a double waved yellow would have sufficed. That really needs to be sorted out for next year. Great event once again. Glad to be there for my second time. |

exciting finish.
anyone know what happened in the last corner? Would like a side on shot of the last re-start looked like overlap for p2 in slow-mo? |

When notice of the final safety car flashed up, Chiyo was only a few car lengths behind Vanthoor (Mucke had 2 cars between himself and the top 3). Matt Bell was fairly slow, so both Chiyo and Mucke were closing on the leaders at a massive rate.
